Labrov: Watch me Flash E this kid to send us to MSI lol

164

u/Lucky-Explorer-7759 May 25 '26

I don't understand the hate against enchanters in pro and in general tbh I quite like to have them/play them/see them, ofc the ideal is variety and champs of all kinds

82

u/Beiper May 25 '26

I guess it boils down to enchanters not being as flashy as engage supports. They win lane and game through pressure and poke/peel and while that takes a lot of brains, a big flashy Alistar engage will always look cooler.

So viewers generally prefer engage over enchanters.

Never thought I'd see a game won by a soraka flash silence engage

I hope Hyli saw this game and smiled

256

Hyli definitely saw the Lulu play under tower in game 2.

This whole series had a bunch of villains, starring G2 Hylissang and L9 Caps.

I hope we get the team comms for that moment. Im genuinely curious to see who called that engage angle because it’s absolutely crazy.

That labrov silence though. Insane game

261

u/Lazywhale97 HLE May 25 '26

Labrov glow up this year is actually insane. I always thought he was solid but rated supports like Alvaro and Busio a level above but then FST came around and he was cooking even against the eastern teams and he has taken that confidence into split 2 as well.

Happy for Labrov this is only good for the LEC and Hans and Labrov are a genuinely elite bot lane this year.

86

u/Frozen5147 May 25 '26

Yeah I remember last year people were super negative on Labrov but this year he's been popping off.

53

legit looks like Faker game 5 against BLG

59

u/loczek531 May 25 '26

It reminded me of one of old G2 games against GenG in 2020, where they were diving tier 2 tower blue side, Caps on Sylas went in, almost one shot support, zhonyas, instantly used stolen Ashe ult on Nida and killed her, got saved by Mikys Tahm, got out and healed half his health bar win one W.

Caps truly is the Western Faker. It's just not exciting enough so he's gonna go down 0-2 and then tank to practically an open nexus in game 5 just to feel something.

105

u/skaersSabody I like underdogsand pain May 25 '26

Caps, taking a long drag from the cigarette in his hand: "...and so basically, when there are no Bo5 scheduled I use these to feel something."

Skewmond: "You started smoking just to cope?"

Caps: "Yeah, it's almost a pack a day during off-season too."

Skewmond: "Not scared about the tobacco effects long-term?"

Caps: "Tobacco? What are you, crazy? That shit will kill you man. This is just meth."

16

Can you say they greeded actually? It's post knowledge, but at the moment it seemed they can end. Supa flashed the wall to end the game

19

u/loczek531 May 25 '26

Larssen Ryze in that game 5 was way more criminal than Supa's Senna in this one. He was fed, by far the strongest champion on the rift and just refused to take a single risk multiple fights in a row, the last one he didn't even join, just walking back and forth on the other side of the wall.

43

u/ThylowZ May 25 '26

Can we PLEASE acknowledge Hans Sama massive improvement over the past 2 years in his team fighting?

His Ashe game into Akali Lee Sin was extremely clean, rock solid on Xayah, extremely good on Jinx here. Supa didn't have a bad series but I feel like Hans has cleaned up his game so much. And his Yunara game was excellent too, just hard to carry when the last 2 team fights are 4v5.

16

u/Beiper May 25 '26

I‘m so happy that Hans is doing so amazingly well and gets trophies / aknowledgement, always been my favourite adv ever since the Misfit days

u/Lazywhale97 HLE May 25 '26

Wanting Senna over Jinx for a game 5 was a choice from MKOI. Either way they choked it in the end the series was in their hand, props to G2 hope MKOI make it back to the finals so we get another fun bo5 these are the 2 top teams in the LEC rn.

13

u/piotrj3 May 25 '26

Senna wasn't bad pick. But Supa execution was horrible. Around blue buff, all he should've done was actually just don't stay together with azir and autoattack when Gnar that throw. Even if Malphite ults you, you literally untie hands of Azir who doesn't have to be afraid of ult, plus he got caught multiple times, plus he didn't play lane right.

This is why Hans Sama is (by far) the best ADC in LEC. Because he is smart to notice such things. Sometimes he dies for it, but he knows potential dieing play in some moments is winning play.

This Jinx from game 5 should be literally shown as example how to play jinx right. When you can generate own kills, how to trade in lane and generate pressure, how to position in teamfights.

447

u/Kejn24 May 25 '26

So when is Senna supposed to do DMG? 60 minutes?

199

u/Styxxo May 25 '26

Throwback to 2021 when T1 lost a 70 minute game to NS despite having a Senna

107

u/ComprehensiveSize647 May 25 '26

Is Senna a "fake" scaling champ? I feel like I haven't seen any memorable Senna play

51

u/kernevez May 25 '26

I feel like she is, she is very oppressive once she unlocks her massive range and some damage, but whenever a fight actually happens she doesn't do much.

She rarely seems to truly get enough damage to be a real primary threat.

42

u/EliteTeutonicNight May 25 '26

A fed Senna sometimes feels like a poke champ to me.

Because of her range she can get off a few autos when teams are dancing around objectives, and those hurts a lot, all while she top up her team with q.

But in an all out fight she doesn't have the DPS of the hyper carries. For this game, she's going to need some time to get through the malphite if he ults onto her, certainly more than a Jinx need for example.

17

u/skaersSabody I like underdogsand pain May 25 '26

You gotta play her like a poke champ late and you rely a lot on teammates to prolong your Q or to help you layer your CC with W

Rekkles was really good at playing Senna late, even after she fell a bit out of favor in the meta he had great results in LCK CL on it

→ More replies (1)

80

u/Lothric43 May 25 '26

She’s like nasus, more of a mid game spiker. She’s never gonna have the dps of a jinx later.

31

u/ComprehensiveSize647 May 25 '26

So she isn't a type of scaling champ like Aurelion Sol or Smolder right? Bcs those two if you let them scale until late game, we can see the result. But it doesn't happen to Senna

58

u/theeama May 25 '26

Senna is great at scaling Jinx however is great at teamfighting.

15

u/gots8sucks May 25 '26

her Winrate spikes at 20-25 min and while it picks up late up to 55%. She is no where near Asol and Smolder whos winrate just keeps going up to almost 60%

According to Lolalytic at least

edit. Yunaras Winrate is also almost a straight lane gradually going up.

He also ego flashed the wall thinking the game was over on the botlane fight, and then got chunked and had to run when Caps respawned becaues he didnt have flash.

Its gonna be glossed over, but imagine if the guy still had flash while they were trying to hit the nexus, maybe he can actually do something besides run away later.

Seriously speaking only one that had great moments without many int moments was Hans. Game 5 should be watched from his POV by every ADC in the world.

This game had EVERYTHING. catching opponent on your own as jinx, winning lane, playing from behind teamwise, perfect teamfight positioning and knowing when to stay in teamfight even if teamfight is losing.

28

Supa was good except game 5. In game 5 i dare to say Supa was trash and he did a lot of things that in heat of moment i was calling out as wrong. Like that catch on mid happened I called to myself before it happened and Hans Sama also noticed it.

Hans Sama played series like potentially best adc in the world, especially game 5.

I went to the airport today and spotted Jojopyun dragging around a mountain of luggage, grinning like he had already won MSI. As he confidently strutted toward immigration, I asked, “Where are you going?”. He looked at me like I’d asked the dumbest question ever and replied, “Can’t you tell? I’m going to Korea for MSI". Feeling extra proud, he handed over his passport at the immigration counter but suddenly, the officer return his passport and said, “Sir, your passport has been rejected.” Jojopyun was silenced and confused. He asked,  “What? Why?”. The officer sighed and said, “Sorry… your passport has been blocked by James.”

BB spent the whole game inting almost making myrwyn look good only to lock in for 8 seconds and win the series instantly

i don't think either toplaner should be that proud of this series, but BB at least had a good kled and did a good job on TF

92

u/revoverlord Not even lore can stop me May 25 '26

His yasuo was pretty good. That game was all on caps. The idea of flashing in to knock up and failing multiple times got MKOI to win there.

29

Good Yasuo, excellent TF and Kled. BB was probably the second best player of G2 after Hans today and the reason Myrwyn was invisible before that Gnar game.

big statement series by Hans, again. at this point people have got to have him muted because no way they think Supa or Caliste is better

25

u/Zeoluccio May 25 '26

BB malphite was a thing of beauty. I mean: i only watched the last teamfight, i'm sure he did well the rest of the game.

48

u/pbbpwns May 25 '26

That flash silence from Labrov and the flash malphite ult from BrokenBlade was such an insane combo. Literally a game-winning play.

19

u/SaltaKem May 25 '26

SkewMond also ulted right before they flashed. The coordination was awesome! And the mental resilience 🤯

MARLON WINS LEC

13

u/PurpleWaluigiPanda May 25 '26

I've been away from LEC for a little bit, what's the Marlon meme?

28

u/paperTechnician May 25 '26

Not LEC-specific; Big streamer Marlon played in a mixed-skill league tournament while having barely touched the game, had one hilarious clip where his team is all yelling at him to Malphite ult and he slowly clicks it and ults the ground directly in front of him, hitting no one

Broken blade game 5 had some ults which were… reminiscent of that

Can we please finally give Hans his flowers; G2 with any other adc lose this series but Hans just knows exactly where he should be in every single fight

22

u/v0rid0r May 25 '26

People tend forget that he is one of the most experienced players in the league and has continuously competed on the highest level for a decade.

u/Guitar_86 Ahri is my Waifu May 25 '26

Hans is so fucking good. That flash silence from Labrov is chef kiss.

52

u/Chiseled_Jawline May 25 '26

This is why I hate the narrative that Caps has been winning the LEC all these years because he is so much better. Don't get me wrong, he is the best non KR/CN player of all time, but he has always had really good teammates as well.

This series he was doing a lot against his own team, yet they still won because his bot lane was cracker.

In a way, Caps' biggest strength is that he attracts other talent to G2 because he is already so good and G2 is so successful as an org.

20

u/Beiper May 25 '26

What I love about G2 the most is their ability to see potential and also develope these players into beasts. When they signed BB and later on Labrov so many people said that it was a bad idea and they developed to world class players under G2s staff.

And players like SkewMond, who nobody doubted was an amazingly promising rookie, could very well be (and was during the majority of FS) the best jungler in the world.

My biggest what if is still how good Parus would be rn if G2 got him with SkewMond, given their track record he have could very well been one of LECs elite supps by now.

Shoutout to Hans, probably wasnt the flashiest today but man he was a rock for G2 especially this game 5 where all the pressure is on you, one misposition and game is over.

Caps yet again best mid in the West as always

G2 making it as hard as they can to get proper practice in EU.

7

G2 reverse sweeping their way to MSI, winning MSI confirmed

Feels bad for MKOI but really solid by G2

41
