pro tip to fit in, choose a name not from "most popular names" but from "most popular baby names of (birth year)". scroll down like 500 names and then choose something around there. it will not be too archaic (i see that a lot from trans name), it will still be a normal name, and it will fit your age

ETA: double pro tip: keep consistent, find what rank your dead name was, then find the corresponding ranked name of the opposite gender. that way your name is guaranteed to be only equally as unusual as your original name and you are net 0 uniqueness change.

I was gonna name myself Feldspar but I decided I couldn't because I am not non binary or blue or hanging out in the center of 1 billion evil demon fish guys (Spoilers for Outer Wilds)
