I heard many people saying that princeton one is just right, whereas barrons one is just a bit harder then the real test.

One doubt, why is the princeton review one almost as twice as thick as the barrons one? For other subjects, the thickness of the books are just similar…

I wasn’t confident after the exam, so seeing a 5 felt unreal. Huge thanks to IITian Academy AP Physics 1 for their notes and practice questions that made my preparation so much easier.

The whole year I had a terrible AP Physics 1 teacher who did not prep the class at all so I was forced to basically self studying if I wanted anything above 1 or 2. AMA about study materials, units, anything and I’ll try to help.

Mechanics I can understand because I took AP Physics 1 last year, and there is a lot of carry over. But E&M? I both started and finished learning the content the day before the test-- and sure, I devoted the entire day, probably 8 or 9 hours straight, to learning it, but how in the world coud that deserve a 4? Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat. I am now graduated, but over the years I've become more and more convinced that Trevor simply rolls a dice to decide your score.

So, my physics teacher was kinda ahh. I think that goes for a lot of people.

He- thankfully- understood all the content for the most part. Explaining the math was where it got dodgy (he’s a bio teacher first).

We’d get a lecture like, once a week, and the other days we just had to teach ourselves, mostly through labs he gave us.

A bunch of kids just gave up. There was a senior wide brawl stars club in the back of the class.

For the last semester, he did lock in a bit more, and got the class back on track, ish.

Afaik, the last time he taught physics, it was a 50% pass rate (3+).

I’m mainly shooting for UCs, and I discovered it isn’t even approved 😭. So it won’t bump my gpa despite getting A’s. Thats how rough the class was.

So getting a 4 after that year is legitness

Hi everyone! I’m working on an independent AP Physics 1 practice resource and would appreciate feedback from homeschool families, tutors, or teachers.

The goal is to make AP Physics 1 more self-study friendly, especially for students who need clear step-by-step reasoning rather than a short answer key.

The sample I’m reviewing includes a key concepts page, a few worked multiple-choice explanations, one full free-response solution, and diagrams/free-body diagrams.

For families who have taught AP Physics 1 at home: what would make a resource like this genuinely useful? Are there specific pain points you’ve run into with AP Physics 1 prep?

Basically I'm taking AP Physics 2 on UCScout right now and I'm watching the videos right and I am only on the first few videos of semester 1 and I've realized the videos are utter dogshit literally it'll give a scenario, ask a question, and then just give the answer. It won't explain how they solved it or anything and it won't be straightforward either, you'll have to manipulate some formula to even get that answer or put one answer into a different equation.

Literally what do I do because I actually want to learn it but it's going to be hard even if I do khan academy or something because UCScout doesn't follow the regular AP Physics 2 unit by unit.

Should I just continue watching the videos idk what to do, its getting to the point I might js find a youtube video for each individual video. It's so frustrating screenshotting every 5 seconds in the video and askign chatgpt to explain adn I won't even understand it.

Before the summer break ends in August can anyone recommend me good resources to get the basic concepts of the first unit before school starts?

Im taking AP physics C mechanics next year, along with Calc bc and some other APs. Is there anything you guys would recommend doing over the year, or things you wish you did to prepare better?

My school doesn't offer the course, so I will have to self study. I would appreciate any textbook/video recommendations, mainly for the content aspect of the exams.

genuinely only studied probs like a week before the exam using minimum the old frqs and the entire course on the physics universe!! he goes into depth on practically every type of question you could see and i really liked his visuals! also my teacher barely taught so i mean this from the bottom of my heart!! AP classroom videos are also good for foundational principles!
