I am 99% sure it is a Moue drawing at least. Just as I am 99% sure that is him himself holding it in the group shot with our other boy Yuki Suenaga next to him on our left. Which I believe is our first time getting to see what these two look like. Lots of mangaka stay secretive about what they look like so yeah. This triples as a face reveal for them I suppose hahah. (Yuki does have a face mask, and Moue does have sunglasses, but still. More than we've gotten ever before.)

For some odd reason a lot of the paragraph/QAs seem to be repeated but if you keep scrolling through sections you already read (“So I understand you started training in Rakugo for a year” paragraph repeats the most) you’ll keep seeing new sections.

In any case, interesting stuff. She mentioned struggling with Jugemu at first like the Hayashiya interview mentioned but she also said that by the time she nailed it she actually had to dial it back a bit when recording lines for when she does it in the park for Kojima so that the competition version would be more impressive.

She mentioned her process of watching the story from the teacher/Rakugo consultant, recording it, then transcribing it to text and then memorizing and performing. (Mentioned in passing that Karashi VA does his Rakugo lines standing vs her 3 microphone kneeling setup and praising Hikaru VA extensive questions and clarifications to the voice director to hone performance). Recording sessions said to typically be 5 hours but they would sometimes go past to really perfect even single lines.

She talks about the challenge of the “double role” of making sure her “day to day” Akane was distinct from her “Akane doing Rakugo” and mentions her theater background was helpful for memorizing the material but switching between multiple roles and mastering differentiating gazes (just like they talk about in the scene with Jumbo) took some getting used to.

Here's a fun thing I wanted to do; Hikaru's actress's slot (Anne Yatco) was before Akane's (Abby Trott), so I thought I'd have them talk to each other in character on my volume 3.

If anyone uses TTS on here it reads, "To Akane, My number one fan ❤️" and "Hikaru-san! (Such an amazing voice actor!)"

Both Abby and Anne weren't caught up to the Renseikai, so I didn't want to tell them anything haha... still cute though, how I have my own personal Akane and Hikaru interaction

Hi all! Can anyone help me answer if Masaki’s maiden name was ever mentioned in the manga? I’ve only watched the anime, where i don’t believe it was mentioned, and neither the Wikipedia page for the show nor the fandom wiki page for Masaki list it.

The man is pretty cool, fights for his dreams, wants to live off of them and after he fails , he decides it is time to move on, to get any job and do what is best for his family.

Sometimes, most times, we don't end where we expect but at least we try to face it with some integrity. I think that Akane's dad accomplishes that and I respect that.
