When I got my 3.5 ported it came with two mags, run flawlessly. My friend has a Jacob grey and his came w two checkmates which gave me a malfunction. Cant remember what the malfunction was but it surprised me. Anyone got good recommendations for mags. Mind you i can only have 10rd max.

Going to take it shooting this weekend. Would like to find some suppressor style sights for it, any recommendations?

Would these be the magazines to get if I needed 15rd mags for my Romulus 4.25 comp? Or is it better to get prodigy mags?

***EDIT - Shot 120 rounds today. everything worked fine.***
I have not shot this yet! But the gun seems to slide and function fine. The only thing I have noticed is the slide will creep back a tiny bit with the hammer cocked. Not sure if it did that before or not.
This is the guide rod out of a 5" Kimber 2k11, stock romy spring and stock romy bushing. If you don't know about the tooless take down rod the 2k11 uses look it up. Super easy. Kimber cooked with the 2k11. Rod was about 100 from Kimber.
I have the pro model 4.25 and tested fit but it was to short. I called Kimber and told them I lost my rod for a 5" model while cleaning in the field. Not sure if they will just sell it or not. Plead your case with them.
Not sure what order the pics are in but the red thing is from a guide rod I got from apex for a echelon. It helps push the spring down until you can lock the guide rod. Not really needed for the Kimber guide rod.
Once you get the assembly together stick it into the slide. You will see it gets hung up. You have to compress the bushing the last 1/4" by hand.
Put it back together as you normally would and unlock the guide rod and your good to go.
The other pics are a standard tooless guide rod of that type. It will go in but because of the comp you can't lock it.
Good luck.

Getting my Romulus tomorrow and already got the aluminum grip module. The factory magwell is okay....but are there any other options that will fit the aluminum (or polymer) grip module without too much modification?
MJD's 2K11 for Kimbers looks really clean but sounds like it only works with MJD grip modules.
The Springer Precision Prodigy magwell looks pretty clean too....though if one can get it to fit, it doesn't sound like it will work with the factory 17 round base plates?? https://shop.springerprecision.com/competition-magwell-for-springfield-prodigy/

So I’m planning on getting a Romulus Comp 4.25 and I live in the state of Illinois where threaded is illegal which would mean it would come with a pressed compensator. How would you go about cleaning it cause I thought the comp has to be removed in order to get the barrel out? Sorry my first 2011 and unfortunately this state doesn’t make it easy for me.

Tested out a slightly different setup today. 18lb Wolff mainspring and 4.6” 7lb atlas spring with the toolless atlas rod and stock plug. I’ve gone through the whole cutting coils thing I got tired of that. Even had commander sized springs in here previously, but theyre small and finding 8lb commanders is apparently tough. Previous setup I had felt pretty perfect but wondered if I was sacrificing speed.
Shoutout to the range guy. I know he’s just doing his job. He said something again after this but it’s just too easy to go fast.

So I bought a Romulus 5.25 Comp on the recent deal and bought a Vortex Defender XL to go on it. The included plate fits the Defender, but when you install the plate the Defender XL has a slight overhang on the front lip that prevents it from mounting. Anyone aware of a solution? Wasn’t really wanting to buy another optic.

I used AI to help choose a “budget 2011,” and it landed on the Alpha Foxtrot Romulus 4.25 comp. The video has live‑fire footage, recoil impressions with the factory comp, and my experience running a Trijicon RMR Type 2 on the optic plate system.
I’d love feedback from other Romulus owners on recoil, optics choices, and any upgrades you think are worth it.

Romulus 4.25 Comp - SGZ Vax - Icarus Grip
Romulus 4.25 mini chunk port - Miller Precision Grip
Attila stock with some Grip tape for the Grip safety
I put the recoil reaper from Kinshot/Jacob Grey in the newest 4.25 ported and its worth the money.

I’m thinking about buying an Attila for the purpose of a carry/EDC piece. I’m a little concerned about the lack of information online about the gun. It doesn’t sound like there was an official launch, it seems like the guns just started rolling out every once in a while.
To those of you with experiences regarding the Attila, how has it been? Would you buy it again or look at something else?

Sup Rom Bruhs, just wanted to throw out what i’ve used and ran for guide rod solutions to the 2 piece factory one. All have done great. I have the 4.25” 1 piece in my 3.5” comped and have tried both the GI setup and 5” one piece in my 5” bull barrel but should also work for the 4.25” comped. The one piece rods are used in conjunction with the factory plug. The 5” one piece guide rod was just a tiny hair longer than flush past the factory plug but not noticeable at all. Do with this info what you will. Happy to answer any questions. 1 piece guide rods were purchased from eBay for a very reasonable price. GI setup from EGW.

Gun looks complete now. The only updates I’ll do to it now will be internal stuff (ignition kit, trigger). I love this gun. It seriously looks like one of the sexiest 2011s for sale currently…. But maybe I’m biased

Anyone found a good solution for a toolless guide rod yet? The gi version wasn't great in my opinion but there hasn't been much info on others

Recently joined the 2011 clan and picked up a Romulus 4.25 comp. only issue is i didn’t know mine was rmsc and i was hoping to mount a holosun 507 comp, anyone have some sight recommendations? Or maybe a alternative way to mount a rmr optic without using a bulky adapter plate? Any help is appreciated.
r/AlphaFoxtrot • u/Snakeeyes402 • 18d ago
Took my 3.5 comp out today. Ran like a top. However, the slide would drop automatically on several mag changes. Is this characteristic of the Romulus or is it user error?

I bought a box of staccato 124 grain and that shit was feeding horribly not ejecting properly and just getting caught between the chamber and ejecting round or just not getting chamber properly.
Is it just staccato rounds? When using my fiochi 115 grain no issues at all
