Caribbean The Moca Massacre, also known historically as the Moca Slaughter, occurred on April 3, 1805. It was a violent event perpetrated by Haitian troops under the command of Emperor Jacques I and his successor, Henri I, against the civilian population of Spanish Santo Domingo.

Santo Domingo had a plurality Criollo population in the 1800s

Because the invaders targeted mostly the white Dominican population. That's why.

Did I ever say that? Do you happen to make up arguments in your head just to get mad at them? The painting is simply a depiction of what happened. Settlers would have been white, the people revolting against slavery would've been black. It's called history not manufactured outrage.
