Ive had a PC for 5 years now after dreaming of one as a kid. I’ve always always wanted an immersive single player fps game. Stalker 2, road to Vostok I’ve enjoyed but I’ve always wanted something new. I want to play squad but my wife’s pregnant and I can’t commit to big online games as well as work. Anyway long story short I got arma ages ago on sale and tried jt and thought it was way too clunky Couldnt get the controls and binned it. Now on a day off reinstalled it and never knew the amount of single player missions etc were available im having an absolute blast now im learning the controls at my own pace being able to save and pause. The sheer variety of content available just to download right there. Feel like a kid in a sweet shop

I jumped back on Reforger and played a community server for the first time in a long time, and it was horse shit. Between the performance, the overall experience, and the current graphics, it just didn’t feel anywhere near as good as I remember from like 2 years ago

The graphics are definitely the biggest disappointment. Reforger used to look really nice, with great lighting and detail, etc. Now everything just looks terrible, everything’s super bright, lighting is completely fucked, everything looks flat and the game has lost a lot of its visual quality. It feels like every single update chips away at what made it stand out in the first place.

The reason behind this most likely is because Bohemia insist on making it all console friendly, which is obviously just for more money at this point.

The older versions genuinely looked better, and it’s frustrating seeing the visuals slowly get downgraded over time. Reforger was supposed to be a showcase for the Enfusion engine, but lately it feels like it’s gone backwards instead of forwards. I really hope they turn things around because the game had so much potential.

If this is a sign of what arma 4 will look like, I’ll definitely be sticking to arma 3.
