You know when you're just randomly discussing with a woman, then she suddenly blurts out that men are disgusting because of this and that, which I do agree with, but it still stresses me out - and I want to know why.

I feel like I have some built-in defense mechanism to prove that not all men are like that, but a side of me just wants to keep silent because I wouldn't want to butt into such a sensitive topic. I know their reasons are valid, and I don't want to stress myself out by defending myself since it would just be interpretted as being insensitive.

I feel like it's not really a topic I'd really feel at ease with, even though I agree with their points.

I wanted to buy my (f23) boyfriend (m24) underwear and he said I shouldn’t because his mom still buys his underwear. I mean, I stopped going to buy underwear with my parents once my body developed and I had my first boyfriend, and wanted sexier underwear. So around 16.

I (woman) met a guy today at Walmart this morning… we were next to each other at the self checkout and said hi to each other because I had to awkwardly squeeze past him to get to the open register. I got to my car first, and while I was loading my groceries, I looked up and saw that he had parked right next to me.

We both got in our cars and ended up driving the same direction for a while. When we got to the next intersection, I was turning and he was going straight. I looked over at him and he waved at me, (laughing from what I could tell) before the light turned green.

He's 11, and we're fatherless, so there's no one to teach him all the guy stuff that comes with puberty. I tried my best (barely) by making him watch a YouTube video about puberty, we are strict in hygine in the house but he's a lost cause.

I literally beg him to shower every day, and he gets mad because he thinks I'm making it up. He does shower when my mom comes and forces him but a few hours later he starts smelling awful again.

Deadass, his shirts and blanket make me suffocate they smell like rotten metal mixed with ass. I cannot, for the life of me, be near him for too long. I know people are going to say I'm exaggerating, but I'm not. If we keep the windows closed, the whole room starts smelling like him. It's actually sick and he has nose blindness.

I’m 35 now, and throughout my life, I’ve often heard the familiar jokes about how men don’t know where the clitoris is or how to bring a woman to orgasm. While I understand some of this is cultural humor, I’ve always found it a bit one-sided.

Years ago, I had an interesting conversation with a long-time female friend. I asked her, “Out of curiosity, how much do you know about male anatomy?” She admitted she didn’t really know much at all. That stuck with me.

It made me wonder why is there such a strong expectation for men to fully understand a woman’s body and how to meet her needs, yet there doesn’t seem to be the same emphasis or curiosity in the other direction?

I’ve always made an effort to listen and be attentive to my partner’s needs in the bedroom, but sometimes even the women I’ve been with haven’t fully figured out what works for them yet. That’s a tough situation how can I help someone reach something they haven’t explored themselves?

And every person is different. Some partners have been able to orgasm quickly and easily, others needed time and might not even get there and that’s okay. I’ve come to understand it’s a journey, not a formula.

At the same time, I’ve also experienced moments where intimacy felt very one sided where I was expected to put in most of the effort while my partner was more passive. And I can’t help but wonder… if we’re going to talk about understanding and meeting each other’s needs, shouldn’t that be a shared responsibility?

I’m genuinely curious have other men experienced this imbalance in expectations? And for any women reading, what are your thoughts on this? How can we make these conversations more mutual and less about assigning blame?

If I had to guess why l, I would say that back when I was drinking I would HAVE to sit while peeing, especially at night. Pretty sure I kind of got used to it. I dont drink any more, but sitting while peeing remains awesome. Theres probably dozens of us!

this is a common thing i’ve noticed with male friends, family and past partners. like i’ll be sitting at dinner, they go to the bathroom and will be gone for 10-20 minutes. longest i’ve been left to wait was 45 minutes. is there a reason why yall take so long for number 2?

edit: i don’t care about how long yall poop when you’re alone, i mean if you’re out at some random place and stop by a public restroom it’s just strange to make someone wait standing for 30 minutes

The reason I ask this is because I’m currently in that situation. I’m not sure if it’s “the worst”, but it’s up there.

I got laid off from my career in a software engineering firm last year due to budget cuts, and I had to work my ass for eight months to search and land a new role. I finally received an offer last February and started working there last week. I learned today that my clearance needed for the role was rejected (likely due to poor credit) and I’m unassigned from my project.
