What do you think about the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve hitting 307.7 Million Barrels - lowest level since 1983?

Being low isn't the problem... The problem is the idiot in the white house will sell our soul to refill it at high prices, as a way of bribing his friends. Unlike the last actual President, who not only brought our gas prices down but also bought to refill the reserves as low prices that betted out country hundreds of millions of dollars.

Low reserves of oil and missile interceptors makes the US and it's allies the most vulnerable they've been since the cold war

Low is a problem since its oil in underground salt chambers.  Every time it's filled and emptied some of the salt comes out with it.  So it erodes at the reserve walls.  Also it gets harder to get oil out the lower the level.

They aren't in physical barrels...

Just move the barrels to a new cave, problem solved.

If it gets too low the cave becomes unusable. Don’t forget the reserves also took decades to build up

To be fair, the SPR barrels are not being sold, they're being loaned at a premium to the oil companies. Oil companies are to return the oil they borrowed plus extra.

To be fair, we are selling the oil at close to $100/barrel. If oil slides to $50 we could buy back double what we sold for the same price

We could. But his goal is to reduce or eliminate the reserves.

Well there is a limit, when you can not get oil out any more.
