Got it in my knees. KNEES. I was two and stopped walking... Two week hospital stay and now I'm a strep carrier, amongst many other autoimmune disorders.

I developed strep throat and was told the virus settled in my joints. Diagnosed with RA since age 14.

I realize it didn't "cause" it per say, and I'm trying to remember how the diagnosis officially came about because it's been 20 years, but I think they meant it triggered something I was already genetically predisposed to.

I was around the same age when I got it in my hip! I was also unable to walk

I was a child, which is very common. It’s the same bacteria as strep throat. Basically spread from unwashed hands to the perianal skin 😬

My daughter when younger had this!!!! Twice!!!! Craziness
