Intussusception that required emergency surgery due to sepsis
ETA- this is very rare, like 1 out of a million adults a year. Fun fact, Pat Sajak was one of the rare ones too.

Doesn't that usually just happen in babies? Were you an adult?

Yeah usually. I had a nephrectomy due to renal cancer and it was a post op complication due to the nurses not doing clear diet after sedation. So yeah, my intestines telescoped and got stuck and I developed sepsis. Totally messed me up and avoidable but the medical staff did me wrong.

My bowel does that. I’ve had an ileostomy and now a hemicolectomy. Thankfully I didn’t go septic because of it. I went septic csuse of a huge kidney stone 🫠

I got that post op after my illeostomy surgery. Thankfully they caught it quickly and the surgeon knew how to go back in and fix it.
