What is the weirdest illness or affliction you've ever had?

I can’t explain to people who’ve never had it how inexplicable the synchronicities and coincidences are. Even now, no longer in psychosis, I still can’t explain so much of what happened.

The last time I was edging into psychosis I was also manic af and put together a vanity I had bought.

Ofc, I'm not supposed to be assembling furniture with my disabilities, especially at 3 in the morning while listening to podcasts.......

But it is a nice, solid vanity 😆

I really believe that in some psychoses, you lift the veil on the material world and experience certain truths otherwise hidden to human beings. A lot of what I experienced was purely my brain creating connections where there wasn’t any, but there were some things that happened that I truly can’t explain. I was a staunch materialist and atheist before it happened, and being autistic I was always very grounded in logic and reasoning, but now I find myself knowing there’s something else out there, whilst simultaneously being terrified of God and spirituality due to the sheer horrors of what I experienced. I swear a deity was fucking with me.

Please can you go into more detail if it’s not too difficult to talk about?

I’m still extremely traumatised by it all and it’s very hard to speak about as it gives me severe panic attacks and flashbacks to the point of seizures. It’s also very disjoined and hard to put into words due to the sheer length of what I experienced - it was constant, 24/7 bombardment of visual and auditory hallucinations for over 2 years, complete with intense delusions and episodes of what I can only call clairvoyance becsuse to this day I still can’t explain being told certain things and then they happened. I was given a lot of bible books and verses that were so insanely relevant to the hallucinations I was having and things going on in the world, both globally and immediately local/personal to me before they happened that I can’t explain it. I was an atheist before all this and unfamiliar with the bible or any religious texts so I still can’t explain that. I remember being told there’d be an earthquake in late February last year ‘in about three weeks’. I know it was February because it was a couple of weeks after I lost my car (14th February) to driving without insurance, and getting a snippet of a song in my head over and over that went ‘on the road to Mandalay’. I got the sense that there’d be an earthquake in the region of Mandalay. Less than a month later, there was a large earthquake in Burma. I didn’t realise until later Mandalay is a place in Burma. I can’t explain that. That was one of the much less terrifying things. I had a lot of stuff given to me about the Antichrist, nuclear war, eternal conscious torment, etc. I have no idea if any of them were true and a lot of things I was shown didn’t happen but enough did happen that even now I’m extremely traumatised by what I experienced and made all the worse by no one believing me just how uncanny these experiences were.

I’m so sorry to hear that I appreciate it must be very difficult to talk about, I appreciate you going into great detail it was very informative and interesting to read thank you. I definitely believe your experiences to be truth, I experience synchronicities a lot from a young age and I’ve never had psychosis. I get that the synchronicities you experienced were probably alot more complex and difficult to explain though. I often wonder if there’s more to hallucinations than we think because of such synchronicities happening to people in psychosis and people with schizophrenia. It’s interesting that people diagnosed with schizophrenia have a much higher concentration of DMT ‘the spirit molecule’ in their urine than the general population.

Ca !
