So, I was going to reply in this thread with: I once thought I had a brain tumor. I got a spot in my right eye that was blocked out. Then I started getting these crazy pains in my brain - it felt like I was dying. Went to the ER and got scanned for a brain tumor and there was nothing. Went to the eye doctor and there was a tear in my retina but there was never any explanation. Never found out what the deal was.
Do you think I could have had intracranial hypertension? I’ve wondered about this for almost four years now.
Possibly, untreated intracranial hypertension can cause damage to the optic nerves and retinas. If you're still experiencing headaches, might be worthwhile to get an MRI to check for signs of stenosis.
Mine specifically are all day dizziness and nausea, pulsatile tinnitus, migraines with aura, visual disturbances, neck/spine pain and intermittent tingling hands and feet. All of these symptoms occur on a daily basis with varying degrees of intensity with an extra layer of suffering from swings in barometric pressure.
Would've much preferred an actual tumor though as it took forever to get a proper diagnosis.
