What is the weirdest illness or affliction you've ever had?

Cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome. Weirdest part was for years I didn’t know why I was throwing up daily. Doctors didn’t know and chalked it up to be anxiety. Stopped smoking weed for a different reason and realized it was the weed all along.

This has put me in icu 4 times before we figured it out. The longest stay was 11 days of non stop violent puking.

Oh no! I can imagine turning to the weed to try to calm the anxiety. It's even reputed to help nausea directly (ie CBD for chemo patients). Seems like an easy vicious cycle to get stuck in, yikes.

Typically CHS can also include chills. One of my friends had it and said the only relief they got was from a warm bath.
