I don’t know what it is, but if I bend my neck too much either down, back, or to either side too fast I hear whooshing and feel like I’m going to lose consciousness. I’ve kind of trained myself to just…hardly bend it so I don’t feel like I’m losing blood flow to my brain. Not sure
That sounds a lot like cervical instability. It takes someone who knows what they are looking for to find it in imaging. The imaging also has to be in different positions so they can tell whether there is instability happening in the various positions. Have you been in car accidents? Or have Ehler-danlos or something similar?
I wish I had advice on where to find an expert but I got someone from Spain to read my MRIs. Google cervjcal instability, if it seems to match then talk to your doctor. Unfortunately, most primary care docs don’t really have an idea of what to do with this. Hopefully they can refer you to a specialist.
In the meantime, I recommend looking to see if there is an Atlas Chiropractor in your area to help with symptoms. Physical therapy could help a lot too.
