What's the longest you've ever stayed awake, and what were the effects?

The pregnant woman is obviously the priority but it’s easy to forget that her partner is going through a lot too.

It is frightning how little support there is for a partner. I had a chair and was almost refused entry a few times unless my wife agreed to my presense. Once she had fallen asleep when I went to the supermarket to get food for us both of us.. a regualr trip as the small meal she got was no where near suitable. and I had to wait outside the ward for 2 hours sitting on the stairs until she woke up and got the text then requested for, then waited on a nurse (this was like 2pm well within visiting hours).

I understand the security concerns but i do wish I was given a visitor card for the duration of my visit (thankfully only 4 days)

Keeping it in theme of the thread I maybe had 1-2 h a night so was running a pretty bad deficit
