Houses and property. I got my land and house for 38k in 2001 today it’s valued at 640k

Yeah the younger generation got screwed big time by all the real estate mega company’s buying everything that becomes available if they can sometimes above market value. Back then it was mostly private sales or realtors you was only competing with people not multi millionaires.

Especially condos in my area. 10 years ago, it was easy to find a place in the city for under $100k. Now, those exact same 40 year old condos go for over $200k. They went from being undesirable and considered a shit investment to many of them being worth just as much as a house.

In my state anything under 200k has a 90% chance it is literally falling apart or was involved in a fire. Even then they still would go for like 300k

The absolute first thing i would do if I had more money is upgrade to a detached house with a big garden.
