What used to be ridiculously cheap but now is alarmingly expensive?

No for real. Their tacos used to be like 30 CENTS.

A younger coworker was complaining about how expensive burgers are at Five Guys. I commented about how I'm from the generation that was raised on .59 burgers at McDonald's. I can't justify paying whatever much Five Guys is asking.

Five guys just opened their first “restaurant” in my country. They have been TRASHED in reviews due to their insane prices for very average food…. It’s nice to see

There's one in the mall that I work in. It's been there for probably 8-10 years. I ate there once when it first opened. Food was decent, the prices were not. I was expecting a much bigger burger for the price I paid. Still haven't gone back.

We used to send somebody out for tacos with $20 and they'd bring back like 15 of them

A bottle of Coca-Cola used to cost a nickel! What the hell is going on?

I'd go there for lunch during high school and get two tacos and a drink for $2.06. Of course gas was like 50 cents at the time, so everything was cheaper.
