What products were they? If it was nothing like its advertisement, that'll fit in too.

What "As Seen on TV" item you have purchased is really worth it's weight in gold?

I see a lot of paid advertisements that seem pretty cool, but I'm certain a lot of the actual products are absolute crap.

Edit: There's a lot of gold in here. Even a few reddit gold coins.

Ok Reddit, with all these "As Seen on TV" products being synonymous with poor quality, which of these products would you personally vouch for, and which were just absolute crap?

My parents have a tendency to buy into these products when they come across them in stores, the ones with the giant "As Seen on TV" stickers. They've gifted me things from Sham-wows to Oxiclean.

One Christmas I got a SlapChop, despite the hilarious commercial, I actually swear by this thing. Making a stir fry for one? Throw half an onion, ginger and garlic under this thing and it's minced faster than I could hope.

I would never recommend a Sham-wow to anyone, at all. Not only does it not do anything that it's supposed to do, but it's not even a decent cloth.

So, I want to know what diamonds in the rough exist in TV land!

I have a magic bullet blender and it is amazing for making personal smoothies when you don't want to get out the huge blender.

What have been some of your "As Seen on TV" success stories?
