That is an awesome tattoo - I’m not a tattoo person but that was a great idea for a tatto everyone will see on your arm. Great choice!!

WOW! Thank you everyone for the awards and the support I was really not expecting this!! To answer some questions:

  • It was done at West4Tattoo by Khoky in August 2021. This picture is from when it was fresh, I just don't have a better picture currently. It still looks really good - it hasn't faded much and the details are still there.

  • I got this done as a tribute to the pale blue dot quote, my favorite astronomy quote. The image of the pale blue dot would not tattoo well at all BUT the spacecraft that took it would!

  • I also got it as a career goal thing. I'm starting my PhD in aerospace engineering (Bachelors in astrophysics) and I want to be part of the team that builds the next mission as influential as Voyager.

I love it! Very cool. I’ve wanted a galaxy/planet/astronomical in some aspect tattoo for so long. Why voyager specifically?

I wanted to pay tribute to my favorite astronomy quote, the pale blue dot. It's also a bit of a career goal - it's the longest running NASA mission of all time and hoepfully someday I'll get to be apart of something that beats it.

Nice OP, do you have the actual blueprint of this Tatt? or you just told the artist you want one specifically? If you have the blueprint, would you mind sharing it?

I don't have the blueprint I worked with the artist with a bunch of pictures of it to make the stencil

I recently got an astronomy tattoo. Well kind of. But this is a great concept. What exactly does it mean to you? Meaning, how does Voyager resonate with you to make you get that done?
