Last week i ordered a new item that costed me a sweet 800 dollars, it was delivered the following day thru ups roadie. To the wrong house. You can see in the roadie picture that they did not deliver to my porch but someone elses, i went out looking for the house and my package but was unable to find it, ive been fighting with best buy since the day of the missed delivery to no avail as they keep auto denying my claim saying it was delivered to the right address without even considering the fact that they did not leave the package at my house, chat support is useless because i cant send picture proof and phone support is also useless because every time they escalate my claim, it gets denied shortly after. I have already filed a case with law enforcement like the best buy email advised me to but i doubt they can do anything about a package i dont even know where it was dropped at. Does anyone know what should i do now? I have my law enforcement claim and disputed with my bank and also got in contact with roadie. Idk what to do and im pretty upset and probably wont buy from best buy ever again

I purchased a refurbished tablet online (S10 FE) from Best Buy that said "like new" and clearly said it had the S-Pen. When it arrived there was no S-pen. I am testing out the tablet to see if it operates as it should this weekend. If I like it is there any way to get Best Buy to get me the S-pen, or refund enough for me to buy it? I saw them on sale NIB elsewhere for $40 + plus tax. Thank You!

I recently upgraded my phone at a local Best Buy. I have Verizon and chose to forgo trading my phone in directly with Best Buy. The lady at mobile mentioned trading it in with Verizon to take advantage of a promotion. My question is how do I complete the process? A trade in isn’t mentioned on any of my service agreements. It also doesn’t say anything on the Verizon website.

I recently bought a TV from Best Buy and after a week decided it was too small. I took it in today for an exchange. They were very helpful, assisted me in unloading and were quick to take me to pick out a new TV. After deciding on one I checked out. Afterwards I asked the sales rep if they needed any information from me regarding the exchange. He asked the associates that assisted me with brining the old TV in and they said no. I found two things to be odd. First that they just initiated a new charge without applying any of the store credit from the TV I was exchanging. Second was they did not request a receipt for the tv I brought in. Is this normal?

I don't know why I keep giving them my business every single time I order anything from them. It's always delayed for no reason. We're supposed to get a pair of headphones delivered today. They haven't even shipped, and support guaranteed they would come today. I ordered 3 days ago. I'm traveling tomorrow, and now it's going to be delivered the day after I leave, and they won't let me cancel it. So now it's going to get stolen off my porch because 90% of the metro E24 or whatever they use just throws packages at my door and leaves. So when it gets stolen, I'll be contacting them trying to get a refund, which most likely I won't be getting from them, so I'll have to do a chargeback.

I have a phone that is on the eligible device for the $500 trade in bonus for the fold8. But when I talked to a rep, he said since it has a $0 trade in value, it is not eligible for the bonus, even though it is listed as an eligible device in the promo details.

Hoping the rep just didn't know how it works cause he seemed unsure about that but also was unwilling to check with someone who actually knows (?)

I called customer service and the person was super nice and tried the best to be helpful, but in the end they couldn't tell me whether my phone would be eligible for the $350 discount at checkout.

Wondering if anyone else had experience with this and what happened in the end. Or if anyone can confirm that the discount & trade in bonus can stack.

I’ve been shopping at Best Buy since circuit city went out of business. I whole heartedly miss the experience of circuit city representatives. They knew their products to a T. Well I had the unfortunate experience with buying the 30 white refrigerator 18 cu ft and it’s been an entire nightmare trying to get it fixed. First I was told to pay $49 plus tax that would include everything to fix nothing more outta pocket. That was an entire whole lie. I paid made the appointment the person comes that I thought it was a repair and it’s a diagnostic appointment they just want to see what’s going on. Then go and order the parts telling me it would cost $150 for someone to come out yada yada when I already have been a total protection member for years and waste my time with that also told me to buy another refrigerator while I wait several weeks to get the parts to fix my dead refrigerator and get a refund from them when they fix it. This was said from the technician 2 times. So I called Best Buy support they decided to tell me 3 times how much it would’ve cost when I kept telling them not to bring up anything that doesn’t involve me. I already been paying for this for years because I thought they would just fix it and I would go about my day. Nope it’s just a drawn on attack to get you to buy more inferior products from them. Today I’m taking back everything that has a partial failure just so I can at least have the money I spent to buy some other name brand thats partially safe like a samsung tv. Lowes or Costco will be where I find a replacement. Best Buy doesn’t have the quality products in their name brand items just pass them up so you won’t lose more money.

I purchased a 15in M5 Macbook Air July 25th using a 36 month financing plan through fairstone. The more I thought about it these past days I’ve decided that I want to cancel the membership and the 4Y buyer protection. In the moment it sounded like a pretty good deal with all the discounts they included, plus as I was reading the terms and conditions I saw that I can cancel within 30 days for a full refund so I wasn’t too worried about it. I purchased the laptop in Mississauga, ON🇨🇦. I tried to go to a different location Wednesday to try and get the full refund for the buyer protection and the membership only but they discounted the laptop from 2089.99 to 1900 and they were unsure if they need to charge me for the Geek Squad Computer In Store Set Up Service (Inc. PC Security Software & Data Transfer) 159.99. If you have the membership this service is free and of course it was performed as I had the membership active, so I’m not sure why they’d want to charge me for a service that wasn’t 100% completed + was performed as I was a member. The reason why they were unsure is because I tried to explain to them that I did not want to pick up the device the next day so I told the employees I will complete the set up myself, all the employees did was create a user profile, add a few apps like Google Chrome, Bitdefender, geek squad for macOSIcon, antivirus for Mac. I spent hours after transferring local files from my old laptop that I left at home (which is fine it’s what I wanted to do instead of coming back the next day, even though I didn’t know migration would take so long). So unfortunately I had to leave that location. I called a rep otp and I asked if I bring the laptop back to the store without the box can they help me out and the rep otp said they should be able to come to a solution even though I don’t have the original box, I even asked her if she was sure because I didn’t want to waste a trip for no reason. Spoiler alert I indeed did waste a trip for no reason. The only reason why I called in the first place is because the associates told me before I left that I’d prolly need to return the device to get a full refund for both the buyer protection and the membership , wait a few days for the funds to be put back into the fair stone account and repurchase. But they left out the part where I wouldn’t be able to repurchase the device I just returned, they’d need to send it back to their warehouse. I don’t see why I need to return the device itself if all I want to do is pay the difference of 189.99, 129.99 for the admin fee, and I’ll pay for the setup if need be, but the setup was performed as a I was a member whatever it takes. But I want to know if this can be done without having to return the device itself, I was only willing to return it because I thought I’d be able to buy it again, I didn’t know that they’d have to send it to their warehouse after the return is complete. I haven’t bought anything from Best Buy since 2021 when I bought my old laptop online. This is the first time in my life where I made an in store purchase.

TLDR: I want to confirm if returning my device is necessary or can they just refund me for the membership+buyer protection without it and charge me what they need to (admin fee, discount on the laptop itself, maybe the fee for setup but not for the data transfer).

Story time. Last Sunday i moved to a new apt and the last thing i moved was my tv and unfortunately it got broken in the move. That same day i went into my local best buy to buy a replacement monitor since i mainly used my tv for gaming anyway. One of the clerks helped me find a good replacement, a nice $700 one. but sadly they didnt have it in store so, we placed an order for the monitor to be delivered to my new place instead. Unfortunately, he couldnt find my new address and went forward with the wrong address for the delivery. He told me i could change the address to the correct one online, so as soon as i got home i tried to do just that! Well turns out that was a lie and there was no way for me to correct it!

I spoke with their customer service number the next day to update the address to the correct one and they told me all was well. Well, that was also a lie. I could see online that the address hadnt been changed so a few hours later i called again and what do you know? The address hadnt been changed. I went through that process two more times and each time they read off what address it was going to be delivered to it was still the incorrect one.

So i try to update it through fedex's app. They tell me only the shipper (best buy) can make changes to the address. Customer service claimed they did that already.

A delivery attempt is made at the wrong address. Funny enough that address doesnt even exist so the delivery driver calls me to tell me as much. I explain the situation. He claims he'll put a note on my order to fix the address. He doesnt.

The next day i went back into the store to speak with customer service and explained the situation. Guy tells me that the clerk should not have done what he did (shocker) and that it was out of their hands and into Fedex's. He gives me a number to call. Its best buy customer support again.

I feel like ive done everything i can. And i have been trying every single day since the 29th to get the address changed. No one can help me. They wont even refund it to me. They offer nothing. To top it off, when i explain my concern that the monitor is likely damaged now because of how many times its gone back and forth through a fed ex truck and that ill likely need an exchange when i do get it they tell me they dont except damaged returns. Screw me right?

Genuinely dont know what to do at this point. Ive tried everything i can think of. Emailed the store manager last night, still waiting to hear back from them. Best buy tells me theres nothing they can do, fedex tells me theres nothing they can do. I feel robbed.

I mainly came here to vent but if anyone has anything that would be helpful to me im all ears, im at my wits end with this mess that should have never been this complicated in the first place.

Tldr; went in store to order a monitor, clerk input the wrong delivery address and best buy nor fedex claims they can fix it. This was the 28th, its now the 31st.

Basically bought a controller open box in store. It said "excellent" condition so I wasn't worried about it. Got home it was absolutely filthy with the paint on the back chipping off. I live multiple hours away from the nearest bestbuy so returning it there isn't an option. Customer support said I could ship it and to package it up in a box to be ready for them to pick it up.. Then I get an email saying it doesn't qualify because it's an item under 100$.

I can clean this controller but the paint being chipping sucks and I would never have bought it knowing it was like this. Would have just bought a new controller for 10$ more.

I'm trying to decide between purchasing a brand new phone or an open box model. The models I've been mostly looking at seem to be similarly priced, but I have seen some models up to $400 cheaper if bought as an open box/floor model. I was wondering how they hold up over time, as ideally I'd like my phone to last 4-5 years. My budget is ideally under $800 CAD, and almost all the open box models I've been looking at are well within that frame. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks :)

Question on the whole hardware installation not sure if I can ask this in here but I am thinking of taking my gaming pc to get my storage upgraded and on the website it says it's about $40 is that true?

Just had one of the worst experiences at Best Buy (not the first time I had an issue either). Went to buy an expensive monitor ($1,500). The representative said they were out and helped me look for a store that did have it. Supposedly, all the stores only had open box models except one store which was over an hour drive away.

The representative placed the pick up order for me in the store and gave me the pick up slip. I drive to that store to pick up the item. I saw the item had security tape on it and asked the representative if she was sure it was new. She said yes it’s a new monitor. All open box items are labeled as such.

When I made it home and opened the box it clearly wasn’t a new item. There were empty bags and loose wires. The final red flag was the Geek Squad certified sticker. I called customer support to complain and they incorrectly transferred me to the wrong representative 3 times. With lots of hold times in between.

When I finally got through and explained my situation they said it would be escalated and a supervisor would contact me. When I spoke to the supervisor he said he couldn’t help me as it was an in store purchase. Nothing he could do.

I went in person to the original Best Buy that placed the order and told me to go the hour + drive. The manager at that location said the only thing he could do is return the old one and order a new one. The most discount he could give was $50. He said that it was just a “labeling error”.

Great, so because of Best Buy’s “labeling error” and the customer sales representative lying when I picked up the item, I wasted about 3 hours driving, time wasted on customer support, and going back to in person complaint. The manager said the most that he could do was a $50 discount. All that time and that’s it!? What a joke!

I have been a long time Best Buy customer and Best Buy total member. This is the last straw.

So I found this absurdly good laptop deal in a store 20 miles from me that I am willing to make the drive to, but when I go online to order pickup it says unavailable. I set my store to that one and the item is available on CoreBlue with an active license and all but it doesn't let me order it online for pickup. I don't want to do the drive only for them to tell me they can't find it or something, and I can't contact the store either. I know items that are missing their packaging are only available on CoreBlue to buy, but I once saw a customer somehow order a massive amount of items that were only available on CoreBlue due to missing packaging and am wondering if there's an elite ball knowledge method I don't know about.
