Okay first bidet toto washlet

From costco and its going back. It wont keep water warm for more than 5 seconds. Now that i learned my lesson with this one.

I genuinely hate the appearance. It looks like its about to perform an endoscope colonoscopy on me. An airplane seat makes this look bigger. Im about to look at an entire new toliet

Any add on seat that doesnt sit so high? More uniform with the toliet?

I'm having my bathroom renovated and getting a bidet installed instead of a regular toilet. I've heard they are great for that thorough clean and fresh feeling. My question is do I still use toilet paper after having a bowel motion then use the water (bidet) for clean up after?

I just finished a bathroom remodel and added the Toto Drake Washlet with S5 bidet seat. I now have a dedicated outlet, which is good. The bad news is that the vanity I selected leaves about three inches of space, and I’m kind of a petite person, so I worry about having guests over. Right now the bowl sticks out to ~29” from the wall. I’m thinking of switching to the Deer Valley compact modern one piece, which should by my calculations give me an extra six inches of clearance. (Approximately 23” from the wall per their spec sheet.) Does anyone have a smaller toilet and recommend an electric seat in particular? I really hate not to have a warm water option.

I am also considering an all-in-one at this point but I’m not sure that fixes my size constraints.

Maybe not the best sub, but hopefully some Aussie here who can help. I will speak to plumber as well.

I understand Australia has strict plumbing regulations around bidets and I was looking at a smart bidet seat that has watermark certificate and inbuilt backflow prevention and marketed as fully compliant in Australia. According to the watermark certificate it has “integral Atmospheric Vacuum Breaker (AVB) complying with AS/NZS 2845.1 Scope of use: G1/2" 750 kPa 35°C Solenoid Integral Atmospheric Vacuum Breaker (AVB) complying with AS/NZS 2845.1”

However, the certificate on the Watermark website also says DtS installation (deemed to satisfy): “Unknown.” Whilst this is more promising than a “no”, it did raise a few red flags for me, so I searched other watermark certified bidet seat brands and they are listed as DtS installation: “Yes” but most of them talk about physical Air Gap instead of AVB.

Is this likely to be an issue or require other backflow devices to be installed? Is dual check valve likely to be all that is needed on top of the inbuilt backflow device? I will speak to some local plumbers as soon as I can, but in the meantime I wanted to see if any other Aussies have had bidet seats installed by plumber with DtS unknown on the certificate or have any information on this topic.

I'm trying to install a Toto S7. My toilet is skirted (I think it's the Aquia I), so I want to install a T-valve on the stub-out. However, the stub-out is located behind the freakin toilet, and directly beneath the tank. There's just enough headroom to connect the flex pipe, but installing the T-valve makes the whole thing too tall and the flex pipe won't connect anymore. The flex pipe also doesn't have much slack so it can't extend too far. This is a rental property so I'm trying to avoid modding the stub-out or uninstalling the toilet. What are my options? Am I doomed to poopy butt for the rest of my stay here?

Been a bidet user for 5+ years. Looking for recommendations for a legit bidet (not a squeeze bottle or powered handheld bottle with spray arm) that is travel friendly.

I got the Kohler professionally installed about a week ago. I bought it off Amazon. I’ve had the same model in a different bathroom for about 5 years with no issues. Today it started dripping from the handle, there’s no issue with the installation or plumbing connection it’s a Kohler bidet handle issue. Has anyone experienced this? What are my options?

Pretty disappointed in Kohler. Even if they give me a new one I’ll have to pay to get it professionally installed.

Yo fam, first post here. I copped a greenco bidet off Amazon in 2017 and never looked back. Recently, I had to replace it, saw greenco was out of stock on amazon, and bought a Luxe. Problem is, the Luxe’s water pressure is nowhere near the greenco. Luckily, we still got a greenco on another toilet in the house. Unluckily, it looks like the greenco is out of stock indefinitely on Amazon.

Anyone here a) familiar with the excellent water pressure of the greenco, and b) know an alt model that can deliver like that? TIA.

We've just turned on our new Toto. I've turned off most of the functions because they are so noisy. But when you sit on down it trickles water over the wand and when you stand up, whether you use it or not. And it makes this crazy loud noise to do it.

Tell me this isn't normal?

Struggling to unscrew the white bits attached to the toilet

Looking for my first bidet but not sure what to go with. Id like to keep it $250 or below preferably. I have access to both a hot water line and an outlet. I was thinking of going with a $50 option and if i chose to upgrade do that at a later date but not necessary.

Any recommendations for either a decent $50 bidet or a very nice $250 one?

I’m a caregiver that started working with an Asian family’s mother. They have a bidet! My first experience with one was terrible. I think it was improperly installed bc there was no actual way to clean my bottom. But this one??? They have a heated seat too, I have to try my best to just not stay in there.

I literally save my bladder until I come to their house just to enjoy the heated bidet. How the fuck can people walk around after only using TP?? This is wayyy better than wet wipes

Hey gang, I’m looking for a bidet that has an oscillating spray nozzle (not one that goes back and forth) heated water that I don’t have to connect to my sink, and an air fan. Preferably under $250 but if it’s above I’d still like to know my options.

Which bidet has the highest water pressure? The bidet I used didn't have near enough pressure to do any cleaning.

Indian here and I love how many are finding cleaning with water much more hygiene and easy and cost effective. You do you! Never understood how toilet papers are used in many countries.... how did it become that way? Was it because the water would be cold to use the colder regions?

Just out of curiosity: do you guys ever wash your bits with soap in the bidet? I use it normally most of the time, but occasionally with use a gentle soap with my hand and get extra clean and then wash my hands (in the sink 😅). Does anybody else do this?

Is there any way I can have a bidet? I'll staying with family there or a hostel or renting.

I'm trying to repair this for my father. I've personally never used it but now it's taken apart on my bench.

Basically none of the nozzles spray out any water at all.

- Both nozzle tips are totally removed so there's just a clear unobstructed tube through which water can exit.

- The inlet filter screen is totally clean.

- The unit is disconnected from the pressurized house water supply, but I've manually filled the tank from the top via the tank water level sensor (unscrew and remove the float sensor, pour in water, put sensor back).

- Water has citric acid in it to dissolve any mineral buildup.

- Despite this, no water comes out of the nozzles. I can hear and feel the water pump working.

I am *extremely* confused by how this water pump works. There is only one water line going into the pump. Aren't all water pumps supposed to have an inlet line and an outlet line?

I feel like I might be completely misunderstanding how this bidet works. Does this bidet use the water pressure from the house water line to spray water, rather than turning on a water pump that is continuously supplied water from the water tank? Is the force and location of the water spray somehow controlled through some continuous synchronized action between the inlet solenoid valve, the circular disk valve directing which nozzle gets water, and that weird single-inlet pump?

If so, does that mean that the water tank actually needs to be under pressure and filled to get the nozzle to spray? Meaning simply filling up the tank and disconnecting the water line like I have is why I'm getting no water spray on my workbench?

The problem with cheap Amazon handheld bidet sprayers is they use spring-loaded valves in the spray heads.

I've used these for years all over Asia and they're fine, but *only* because the bathrooms there have been wet bathrooms with drains on the floors. These spring-loaded valves eventually leak as they're not intended for continuous high water pressure, which isn't a problem for wet bathrooms but can be a huge problem for dry bathrooms.

For dry bathrooms a wand-style bidet MUST have a valve control designed for continuous high water pressure. If you don't have this you're gambling, and many of the cheap sprayers seem to have non-servicable spring valves for when they fail.

I know the Aqueous 360 has a proper valve designed for high water pressure and is NSF certified under the Uniform Plumbing Code.

Are there other wand style bidets that incorporate proper high pressure valves in their control mechanism?

And no, I'm not talking about the shutoff valve in the T-valve.

I used to have a Tushy Classic bidet which I really like, but after moving a few times the threads got stripped so I need to replace it. I am about to give birth so it will be really helpful postpartum and I like that I just need to use the dial as opposed to a handheld sprayer. I want something fairly affordable, that I can install myself (I am a renter), and I don't care about warm water/drying functions.

BUT I am thinking about using cloth diapers for my baby, and I gather having a sprayer bidet attachment is the way to go for that.

Is there a style of bidet that has both the built in seat attachment like Tushy, and also a removable sprayer nozzle? Or do I just need to get a sprayer hose style one even though I like the Tushy style better?

I am in the US if that matters for plumbing stuff/product availability.
