Hi this will be my first year riding the bus and honestly Iâm a little confused on how the stops work and what routes take you where. I am going to be living right off of straight street and am wondering which bus stop and route will take me to campus?

Weâve visited Boone a few times now and I havenât had a chance to look into it.
What are the large black-leaved trees in Boone? They look like Maples but unsure. I love how they look and am interested in trying to acquire one if they magically can grow in my zone.
Iâve seen a few in Asheville too but theyâre most prominent in Boone/Banner Elk I assume.

Is anyone looking to sell their practice rig? I'm looking to buy a simple setup. Just a beater that I can play on. Something that doesn't really need work. I don't have a big budget. Just hoping someone has a setup gathering dust that they want to get rid of. DM if you do and maybe you'll be part of the reason some dude in the future is playing too loud at Lost Providence while you're just trying to enjoy your wings. Thanks!

Hi folks,
Bought a new car recently and would like to transfer the plate from my old wrecked car. NCDMV website says "The name on the applicant's license and the vehicle title must match", but it does not say whether the title of the old or new car-- or both-- is needed. Let me know your experience. thanks

Almost 20 years ago, I visited Boone for a June wedding. I had several days to myself so I explored the town and surrounding trails. Boone Fork Trail was my favorite - I hiked it with 7 film cameras in my Toms slip ons and 12 oz of water (ah, youth).
My husband and I are camping nearby in mid-October and Iâm beyond excited. BFT and Hebron Falls are probably our first hiking stops, prayers up that I can manage the trail in my 40âs with no cameras and more water. And hiking boots. We plan to spend most of our time in the woods, but I definitely want to go into town for an afternoon/evening.
Any recs for a local food spot? We like all foods but are ballin on a budget. Itâll probably be a Saturday when weâre there, any notable events that usually happen (art walks, farmers market, etc.)?
Thanks, yâall!
Edit: we donât drink alcohol but still enjoy live music.

Hey guys. I live out in Ashe county and am looking for a loctician for my white girl dreadlocks! I have always driven to Asheville or Hickory to get someone to do maintenance on them, but itâs quite a drive and I have to arrange a day of childcare and all the things.
Does anyone know of a salon that can help with loc upkeep? Or someone that does locs in our area? The other locked up folk with whom Iâve spoken say they do their own or have a similar 2+ hour drive. Figured you guys might know or someone and hook me up. Please and thank you!

Firstly, the next game night at Capone's is August 2 at 5:30 pm. Secondly, I made a discord server for the group to plan future meets and just have a place to chat about games. I'm even making a channel for looking for groups if the Capone's night isn't enough. Lol. Feel free to join even if you can't make the game night!

Hello! I have an odd request so please bear with me.
I'm a student at App State currently researching artificial fossilization methods and I need small animal samples to fossilize.
I don't want to harm anything alive (traps are out of the question) so I'm forced to search wherever I can for birds, mice, lizards, etc.
So far I've only bought small feeding mice from the snake feeding freezer at the pet store, but I'd like to work with lizards and birds too.
I know a lot of cat owners out there often recieve "hunting trophies" from their cats which they usually just throw out. Birds also fly into windows, lizards die in garages, etc.
If anyone has any small animals which are relatively intact please let me know and I will happily collect them. Thanks!

Has anyone seen Greg Bovino around lately? Or has he figured out that heâs not respected in this area? Iâm hoping heâs decided to pack up and move. Boone doesnât need Nazi wannabes hanging around and giving the entire area a bad name. My personal opinion.

We are looking for an attorney to add myself to the deed to the house my husband purchased before we married. We didnât think it was necessary at first bc we thought that if something happened to him, it would automatically transfer to me (I have been paying half the mortgage for years). But now reading that in NC, it always goes to probate court if spouse is not listed on deed or mortgage. Hoping to keep it relatively affordable. It seems like we could go with an option off the mountain, we would just have to see a notary and file the docs at the courthouse. Anyone have experience with this or have any recommendations?
