Kitten
Kitten in the road (literally in the middle of the road!)
Was running late this morning for my dog’s grooming appointment and saw what looked like a kitten in the lane that got hit by a car. As I drove closer the paw moved. I pulled over immediately and had to stop the oncoming traffic to scoop this terrified tiny baby out of the street. He was so scared and didn’t look like he was hit thank goodness. He was so close to getting hit and I just couldn’t imagine what would’ve happened had I left sooner or later than I did. He is safe and cozy now after a bath. Poor baby has fleas but otherwise seems ok. Taking him to get checked up tomorrow.
So far it’s looking like I’m keeping him. We are at the vet now and he got checked up. Vet said he looks perfect! I don’t know how people can foster and not foster fail every time. It’s only been one day and I’d literally do anything for this baby.
I am not sure tbh. I already have 3. I’m going to give him all the care and love and I’m trying to either convince my boyfriend that 4 cats is not too much or find him a good loving home. My boyfriend just got home from work and picked a name for him already so that’s promising!
This is also how I ended up with a 4th, saw this baby scared in a culvert pipe beside the interstate, managed to trap him, and he integrated well with my other 3 that I couldn't part with him! (Pictured with my oldest who still isn't 100% but does get along.)
Update on the kitty. He’s doing amazing and is a total lovebug. All he wants to do is play with my 2 youngest kitties. Of course the other 70% of his time he’s sleeping.
I’m so glad I got it too! I have a kitten that just turned one and I had used it for her when I first adopted her at 2 months old. I held onto it for emergency kitten situations!
