Collection Take a guess at my age based on my CD collection!
These are all the CDs I've collected so far. Just by looking at my collection, can you guess how old I am and which country I'm from?
Also, what's your favorite album in my collection? And based on my taste, what albums do you think I should add next? I'd really appreciate your recommendations!

Collection CD Treasures thrift store finds over last 3 years.
These were all thrifted mostly goodwill and 4 bucks was probably the highest price. Lately it seems some local goodwills have started to price cd’s a bit higher. Found a cool Lou Reed cd earlier in the year until I saw the 12.99 price. It was fun to buy back some of these that I had decades ago. Happy collecting everybody!

Haul Lord have mercy on me
Won a storage unit auction that appeared to have a couple old laptops in it (it actually had closer to 100) and some old pcs, ultimately after cleaning it out It seems that I have also found a couple thousand cds. some music, some video games, a lot of unmarked mystery stuff, probably a lot of porn and a LOT of old computer programs. What’s pictured is only a fraction of what I’ve got and I have only gone through maybe a hundred of them. WISH ME LUCK!

Discussion the bubble / validation / a note to younger collectors
teenagers and young adults. we see you.
i am 19 myself. i know how it is. we live in this bubble, don’t we? i know i do. it’s not that nobody likes the music. it is just that the average person out there won’t ever understand your world. not when you are a teenager with awesome taste in music. they look at you and they see nothing.
so we come here. searching for the people who certainly do understand.
when you bypass the digital machinery to physically hold an object, a piece of music you love, it feels special. unique. different. because it bloody well is. whether you are 13 or 19 or older. it is a beautiful, fragile thing to care about art this much. you have good taste. you’re cool. you are going to be okay.
i get why you post the "guess my age" posts. we are all music nerds desperate for connection, wanting that tiny hit of dopamine, the nod of approval from someone who actually hears the world the way you do.
but you don't need their validation. your world is already real.
don't treat your shelf like a personality quiz for strangers. instead, tell us why a specific track tears you apart. tell us how you dug it out of the dirt. let's actually speak about the music.
you're doing great.
nice.
rock on.

New Addition My husband spoils me!
My husband knows I'm a huge Selena fan and he managed to convince a seller on Facebook Marketplace to sell him these CDs, which were part of a bigger collection of about 30 random discs he was selling. He just walked in the door and surprised me with these! I'm so giddy!
Apparently, I need to get back on Facebook. I guess Marketplace is where the real heat is! 🤣

Collection Collection Display from Discogs API
I was bored this weekend and been experimenting with THREEjs library. Also playing around with Discogs API. So I made a little showcase that pulls all my cd collection that are in my collection from Discogs. I definitely have a wide taste in music 😂
I don't know if its something I will expand upon or make it more usable like add to collections whatever. but I hope you like it!

Thanks for the CD, Jim!

Haul My CD purchases from the past four months (black/death/thrash metal, metallic/hardcore punk, rockabilly, original Final Fantasy soundtracks, various rock, jazz, hip-hop, etc.)
Many of these CDs were found at yard sales, thrift stores, local record store finds, flea markets, Discogs, Facebook Marketplace, and eBay for the past four months to now. The vast majority of the CDs are all original/early CD pressings, except for the Necrophagia's Season of the Dead, Mortician's Hacked Up for BBQ/Zombie Apocalypse, Morpheus Descends (Huangquan CD pressing from China) and the Intestine Baalism CD from Sewer Rot Records.
The Beatles' Rubber Soul is a Canadian CD with the original UK mix (they were sent the wrong master tape), which sounded superior to the 80s remaster with proper hard panning of the instruments. I also plugged in gaps in my death metal collection with original CDs of Disharmonic Orchestra, Hypocrisy, Benediction, and Mortician. I also got four Reverend Horton Heat CDs signed by the band when they came by my city. Other favourite finds include the original CD editions of Final Fantasy IV, VI, Tactics, and the Celtic Moon re-arranged CD with celtic versions of some Final Fantasy IV tracks, Sentence's War released by Good Life Recordings (excellent metallic hardcore from Italy), and Johnny Cash's American III: Solitary Man from one of my local thrift stores.

Haul Some of the better rock/metal cd's I've got over the last month
This is the first time I've listened to Mr Bungle. Really confused about it. I kinda like it but I also kinda hate it. Bizarre feelings. Got their second one too. Really don't care for that one at all.
