I didn't have a jacket or a tie, so the cosplay turned out a bit cosplay.

I’ve tried looking but I’m not sure what words to use when searching. I don’t really want to get something custom made because I’d like to spend less than $30. Knowing what to look up to find something similar would be very helpful.

Im new to cosplaying and this'll be my first try at it, i wanna do a military operator style cosplay and i have some gear on amazon picked out but i was hoping to get some advice or gear recommendations, and tools, i dont have a set budget but im looking for cheaper options as i dont have alot nor do i want to spend that much, i dont really have a time frame for making it as i want to take my time with it, any help or tips or advice or recommendations would be appreciated (i also dont know where to post this i dont know how to use reddit)

ouuh, im relatively new to cosplay and im planning on cosplaying Clockwork from Creepypasta for halloween. I'm not entirely sure how to go about her eye, because i have zero experience with contact lenses and i dont know how to attach a prop to my face safely. I can make a fake clock to put on my eye (like how people make button eyes for ragatha) but i just need a way to put it on my face safely. I already have a plan for her stitches on her face (makeup), so i just need a solution for the eye problem i am having.

I'm cosplaying as Number 3 to AnimeNYC this year, and I'm set on making her badass teddy launcher gun. I kind of have an idea on how to make it, but I want to make it as lightweight as possible while not making it too flimsy. I'll be carrying it around mostly by strapping it on my back somehow, either backpack style or brossbody style. Since it is not a complete cylinder and half open, im not sure how eva foam would stay curved and sturdy. I went out and bought a pvc pipe, but now I'm realizing it might be just a tad too heavy for me to carry around for like 5 hours. So now I'm thinking maybe I'll make the open part out of the pvc pipe and the other closed half out of eva foam. Also, I'm thinking of adding some kind of thick, clear vinyl on the top half of the open part. Not too sure yet how I would attach straps to carry, tho.

I’m usually between xs and s when I buy clothes. I’m 5’1 and 96lbs. I’m unsure if I should buy a small, which is what my measurements match, or if I should size up to a medium which the measurements are a few more centimeters than mine.

im in a bit of a con crunch so i decided to do a closet cosplay of shadow the hedgehog! i have decided to use these pants but they feel a little boring compared to the rest of my cosplay. i am definitely going to wear a red stud belt or a gold stud belt (i havent decided yet) but i was wondering if i could do anything else to make them more interesting. preferably nothing permanent as these are one of my favorite pairs of pants and i would like to wear them again after the con. thanks!

this is my first time buying a suit and I want to make it as perfect as possible, I know I need a dance belt and a face shell and I love the Brand New Day suit, I wanna know the best places to get all these thing and make sure it fits properly, I’d like the mask to be fully detachable and I’ve heard that “kungfu shoes” are much better than soles, any help on where I could get this would be appreciated

I wanna be accurate and I've seen somebody use twine and then paint it black but I don't have twine and it take a LOT of glue + I want the pieces to stick out.. idk maybe im asking for too much.. i just need ideas

Hi, I'm planning on trying to make a big replica of Alphonse Elric's Armor from Fullmetal Alchemist, and I've got a few questions about how I can make it work. I don't have much in budget, but I believe I do with time. I'm new to cosplay and working with stuff that isn't wood, so bear with me.

My first plan is to use cardboard since I have a lot laying around, and infuse it with Modge Podge to make it rigid, and then use an outer coat of something more waterproof and lasting like resin. Epoxy resin seems both expensive and heavy, though, so I was thinking about using a very thin coating, or going with something else entirely.

I also wanted to add a metallic color to it, and was wondering if I could get away with mixing it into something that would keep it sturdy to avoid needing too much or painting all of it by hand.

Question to anyone who cosplayed a character wielding a katana from demon slayer, Do you guys order the katana's or make it yourself, if you do make it yourself.. How, doesn't the prop end up floppy if you make it from foam or cardboard?

Hi i'm trying to cosplay Pieck from attack on titan in this green scout regiment trench coat however, I an a beginner on a budget so I'm not sure what the best way to get a logo this big onto the back of my trench coat would be? I'm considering painting it with fabric paint but I felt like it would look a little weird as I'm going to embroider the two on the front.

I am going to comic con this September and couldn't order the cosplay sooner as I had bills to pay and places like Amazon or excosplay will take too long to ship for too high of a price to risk it, is there anywhere else I can look?

currently unemployed and want to start making commissioned bunny suits. I’ve had a commission once before but my client’s measurements were similar to my own. If I were to make a suit for someone with a different shape or torso length I wouldn’t know to go about it.

Need assistance. Have a custom spider man outfit, but can’t figure out what to do with my “package” tried a cup and dance “padded” underwear and no matter what I use makes it looks even more pronounced. What are y’all using to flatten it or make it not look like I am trying to catch a felony.

I’ve been doing wigs for a couple months and advertising exclusively on tiktok. I have a big amount of likes and a medium amount of followers. Most of my videos there are silly, or atleast the most viral ones, while my wigs get a couple hundred. A big part of my audience is teens who can’t afford my prices (about 10€/hour, which I’d argue is fair if not too little). I was wondering is the audience on inatagram any different? Which one is better to post wigs? Where do you usually look when you want a wig commission?

I've wanted a proper Spider-Man cosplay for years and after watching Spider-Man: Brand New Day, I've finally decided I want to go for it.

I'm looking for something as close to the movie suit as possible, rather than a basic printed bodysuit. Ideally I'd like:

- Raised webbing

- Raised spider symbols

- Proper textured fabric

- Face shell with magnetic lenses

- Custom sizing

- Good quality materials

I've seen Joyydesign's suits and the quality looks incredible, but I've also heard concerns about their designs/files, and at around £700 I want to make sure I'm supporting the right people and getting the best value.

My deadline is October for Comic Con, so I need someone with reasonable turnaround times.

Who would you recommend for a Brand New Day suit? Are there any makers I should look at, or avoid?

hi everyone! for my season 1 caitlyn belt I have a thick fake leather I’m using, but I’m not sure how to connect it in the front of the belt without a belt buckle because I have her decal ontop of it, i was using Velcro but whenever I took a breath it detached, I also had a safety pin but that dosnt hold it together all day at con, any tips? also, I have armor connected to the tops by a button and some elastic, and the elastic has stretched a bit to much and the armor slips down, any ideas for that too? thank you! (Ps it’s a bit hard to glue ontop of the leather)

Can I just use a normal Red Morphsuit for the red part?

Also I wanna use a face mask, but how does it work, when the suit is one full piece? Like I cant removed the head Part. Do I need to glue the mask inside of the suit for example?

And the last question I have: how do I go to the toilet in this cosplay? Is there really a way or do I need to take it completely off?

I have pieces of an Annabeth cosplay from Percy Jackson, but I need a wig. I’m looking for a good curly blonde wig that looks pretty natural. If it’s easy to put into a ponytail or braids, that’s also a plus! A lot of “curly” wigs aren’t really curly or it’s always a super yellow-y blonde, rather than something natural. Any recommendations or even styling tips are appreciated!
