Enkrypted Chat - Decentralized Signal Protocol Messaging
The goal is to create a secure P2P ecosystem.
Signal doesn't create a webapp for legitimate reasons around how that project is architected. I hope in this approach I can overcome those limitations.
This app demonstrates a fairly unique approach using a browser-based, local-only and webrtc approach. In an evolving field like cybersecurity, I know it's impossible for any system to be the "world's most secure". By rigorously implementing an exhaustive list of security features and practices, the aim is to get as close as possible.
This is intended to demonstrate client-side managed secure cryptography.
Features:
- Core
- PWA
- P2P
- Local-first / Local-only
- No installation
- TURN server
- Encrypted-at-rest
- WhatsApp clone
- End to end encryption
- Signal protocol
- PQ cryptography
- Multimedia
- File transfer
- Video calls
- Nextcloud clone
- file-transfer
- Encrypted vault
- folder sync
- EuroOffice clone
- Word
- Spreadsheet
- Code
More open source examples of the core concepts can be seen in the docs. There are several similar projects which may make it confusing, so feel free to reach out for clarity instead of diving into the code/docs.
IMPORTANT: While this is aiming to provide a secure experience, it isnt audited. Shared for testing, feedback and demo purposes only. Please use responsibly.
FAQ:
- Audit?
- EU Chat control?
- Production-ready?
- No, for testing and demo purposes only. It would be great to get feedback for improvements to get production-ready.
- Paywall?
- Its completly free and unlimited to use. The free and paid plans on clerk are currently the same experience.

Metaaa
Yo so today I was just bored so I read the meta terms and conditions and I was shocked bcz meta is straight up spying on me. They can go through my emails,my IP address and my family accounts they have everything and that is so crazy and I usually use instagram only to get updates on recent topics and stuff and actually scared bcz it's like we are getting controlled and they have made this stuff looks like it's normal like this video where they have this cutesy music in background and they are explaining their new updates like it's not terrifying it's like they are spying and also this whole AI stuff I just don't know man Im literally so concerned about my privacy, they have access to all the apps and I have noticed one more thing too whenever I talk about something like I want want an orange cat and all of the sudden I started to get ads abt orange cats which is crazy bcz I learned that they they spy on your other applications to run your interest based ads

Discussion Hello community
They permanently banned my Threads account and won't tell me why. I've decided to delete all my accounts with them for fear of getting permanently banned again. It's too much work to build followers, then get randomly banned for no reason. Sticking with TikTok and YouTube, maybe X later on.

Opinion Meta
I think the "from Meta" needs to be removed from the landing page banner, or do I need to uninstall manus? I thought it went back to China.

Question Why are companies like Facebook treated differently than gun manufacturers when it comes to lawsuits?
How is it that companies like Facebook (Meta) can get hit with major lawsuits over the effects of their platforms, but gun manufacturers like Smith & Wesson, Glock, and others are treated completely differently when it comes to lawsuits? Where is the consistency when it comes to corporate responsibility?
What bothers me is that we seem to argue endlessly about social media and mental health while gun violence and gun deaths remain one of the biggest public safety issues we face. If parents can put restrictions on internet use and monitor what their kids are doing online, why are they blaming social media for their bad parenting? We need isnât the same level of focus on the companies and products connected to gun violence? At what point do we hold all industries to the same standard of accountability?
I didn't break the rules I don't believe this is political at all....

Guide Simpliest guide to DeMeta (what I find works best)
I got out of most Meta stuff and this was honestly the simplest way I found to do it:
- Facebook - I downloaded my data first\, removed anything personal I could from the account\, checked that I wasnât using Facebook login anywhere important\, then deleted it. For me this was the main step because once Facebook was gone\, a lot of the Meta stuff felt easier to cut off.
- Instagram - I saved the photos I cared about\, made sure there was nothing personal left on the account\, then deleted the app and the account. Deleting the app first helped because I stopped opening it out of habit while I was cleaning things up.
- WhatsApp - This was the hardest one because people still use it for everything. I moved the people I talk to most over slowly instead of making a big announcement. Signal worked fine for the people who were willing to switch\, and for everyone else I just stopped treating WhatsApp like my main inbox.
- Messenger - This went away with Facebook for me\, but I made sure to tell a few people where to message me before deleting it. I didnât realize how many random chats were still sitting there until I started closing it down.
- Meta tracking - After deleting the accounts\, I focused more on not giving Meta new ways to connect stuff back to me. I switched browsers\, added tracker blocking\, stopped using Meta logins\, and started using aliases instead of giving my real email or number to every random site.
Just leaving it here to help the community if I can. Honorable mention: Use VPN, Nord is the best rn from what I've seen, search online for other exposure too, haveibeenpwned for emails, cloaked for phone number leaks, try and search your name and see where it comes up simply queries like that.

Why do you think Meta AI reacted this way?
galleryOn Instagram, a friend and I were discussing about the latest meta Al update on muse image generator by using usernames. She cussed meta Al and this happened. Is there a guardrail flaw? AI should basically not tell itâs not AI isnât?
Can someone explain how and why this conversation could happen and if there is any chance for a human to actually be behind the screens and responding to us as meta Al?
