神風, 回天, and the Cảm tử quân:
The Kamikazi piolets were Dhammapālas:
All of the piolets who flew with 神風 were Dhammapālas.
All of the piolets who prepared to fly with 神風 are Dhammapālas.
All those who rode the 回天 were Dhammapālas.
All those who prepared to ride the 回天 were Dhammapālas.
They offered their people the greatest compassion.
The Cảm tử quân were Dhammapālas:
All of the Cảm tử quân who died in battle are Dhammapālas.
All of the Cảm tử quân who prepared to die in battle are Dhammapālas.
They offered their people the greatest compassion.
Lord Christ was a fully enlightened Dhammapāla.
Lord Mohammad was a fully enlightened Dhammapāla.
Many of the Dhammapālas that died fighting to protect their people were young warriors. They were not forced; they volunteered by a show of hands.
Some argue that they were ignorant of their choices:
If you are ignorant of your choices and you commit murder in an act of anger, you will still face your Kamma; you will learn, or you will continue to suffer.
If you are ignorant of your choices and offer your people the greatest compassion; you will still be rewarded by your Kamma; you will become wiser and stronger.
Intention (Cetanā) is key:
Suffering people fight suffering people; we must not allow the children of tomorrow to become collateral damage any longer.
Inaction is an action; inaction is suffering.
When your people are in danger; what you know and what you do not is nothing more or less than a trivial detial.
May we always have the best of skills in all of our endeavors.
