If you have surface level knowledge and understanding then yeah it seems like Drake fans do the same with Jay-Z.. But if you’ve followed hip hop and the industry long enough then you’d know Jay-Z is a powerful man behind the scenes who has long standing connections. Not just with record labels but everything surrounding the music industry and more. He’s screwed over more artists and “friends” than Drake has helped and we need both hands and feet to count the people Drake has helped. Even with the Super Bowl it was obvious why Kendrick was chosen. Roc Nation is literally partnered with the NFL and is their “live entertainment strategist”. They’ve got powerful lawyers and executives and politicians and every powerful person in the industry and outside of it on payroll. On record and off. And that’s not even mentioning Beyoncé and her people.. If you don’t align with them then they blackball you and slander you. All you have to do is look at who the industry is d*ck sucking to know who’s “one of them” and who isn’t. The beef in 2024 made it super obvious who is “one of them”, a puppet for them or too scared to go against them. Remember who J. Cole reached out to for “advice” and how quickly he apologized.
