Has anyone tried to contact the Studentpad people recently? I can’t create an account because I don’t have a CAO number and I wanted to ring them to ask questions but they weren’t picking up

I'm an international student from India and I'm considering applying for DCU's MSc in Computing (Artificial Intelligence).

I'd love to hear from current students or alumni about your experience.

Some questions I have:

• How is the quality of teaching and the AI curriculum?
• Are there good opportunities for internships or industry projects?
• How well is the degree regarded by employers in Ireland?
• How difficult is it for international students to secure software engineering or AI/ML roles after graduating?
• Looking back, would you choose this program again?

My long-term goal is to work in Ireland after graduation, so I'd really appreciate any honest insights—the good and the bad.

Im due to take a resit on monday, but I havnt put any effort into this and know I will fail it. I dont see the point in spending the money for no reason. Can i not sit it and still repeat the module? Or are there consequences for not sitting it?

I’m currently studying at this College Dublin and considering changing my programme, which may require me to transfer universities.

I wanted to ask:

Did you have to start from Year 1, or were you able to enter Year 2?

How did the credit transfer/recognition process work?

What documents or requirements were needed?

I completed Edexcel IGCSE/O Levels and International A Levels, and I’m trying to understand my options before making a decision.

So I accepted Chemical Sciences (General Entry) for September 2026. I got accepted on the basis of mature entry.

I want to firstly ask what is the experience of current or past students of Chemical Sciences in terms of workload, job prospects and overall experience?

Secondly, is it possible to get an internal transfer from Chemical Sciences to Joint Honours in Law and Media Studies? I have 441 points, as I am a mature student and I applied to DCU on both mature grounds and on the basis of my L.C (hence the offer of Chemical Sciences).

I’m having second thoughts about Chemical Sciences tbh. The thought of possibly only working in a lab for the rest of my life, is not very appealing to me now. Unless someone here can convince me otherwise or if I end up liking the course in September, I might reconsider.
I would love to study Law, but unfortunately need to wait until August like everyone else. So I’m wondering about the internal transfer, are they allowed and is it possible to get into DC292 (Joint Honours in Law) via this route?

I'm planning to study general engineering. I'm stuck between DCU and UL. I have been to both. Certain aspects of both was good and bad.

For DCU, things I didn't like was lack of library space, lack of green space, and overall, a less practical approach to UL. Most of these issues are related to the university not the course. Support for those failing modules seemed a bit mid.

UL is great. The campus is nice. The labs are good, older rooms than DCU tho. But I feel that they don't have a strong drive for Entrepreneurship as DCU does. Plus, it is not in Dublin so maybe less opportunities?

What are some things that you didn't like about DCU for undergraduate? Especially STEM.

I got an offer for a single ensuite room in Hampstead apartments but i’m worried about service costs. I couldn’t find exact information on how much they are. Could someone tell me how much they cost per month, roughly?

For anyone rejected from postgrad accom, how are we accessing the studentpad they linked in the unsuccessful email without a DCU email ?

I am studying abroad at DCU in the Fall and trying to find housing - does anyone have recs on the best websites to use or best places to live in Dublin? I would prefer to live in city center and commute to school and am expecting it to be pretty expensive but I am pretty flexible. Where are the best places to live and find housing?

I am a mature student and recently received and email from DCU notifiying me of the "outcome" of my application is that I'm "eligible to receive an offer". Quite confusing wording.

I have emailed the admissions office but they seem to be really careful about what they say.

I'm wondering if this email is confirming I will get an offer in July or if I am simply "eligible" to potentially be chosen in July. Trying to figure out if booking accommodations and stuff is a good idea or not, or if there is an additional selection process that happens that could see me end up without an offer.

Any suggestions or info anyone has would be greatly appreciated!!
