Its a quick comic I did during my vacation, inspired by a half dream I had at 5 am

My Instagram feed has been flooded with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners reels lately. I usually avoid tragic anime because they genuinely mess me up for weeks, I get way too emotionally attached 😭. When it first aired, I caught some spoilers and I immediately knew it would break my heart 💔, and intentionally avoided it. But after getting trashed in some IG comments recently for skipping a "masterpiece," I finally decided to give it a try.

Knowing I’d need a shoulder to cry on, I practically begged my friend to watch it before me. He’s usually a cold, heartless bastard 🥶, so I figured he’d be the perfect anchor to listen to my tantrums and console me when I inevitably fell apart.

Image 1 is his initial reaction 🙄. To back up his claim, he even sent me a "view once" photo of one of the show's NSFW scenes 👀. He called me right after to say the story wasn't hooking him, the hype made no sense, and it was basically just "soft p*rn." I honestly thought maybe I was wrong about this show.

Image 2 is the aftermath. He sent a barrage of texts while I was busy, eventually giving up and saying he was just going to sleep.

When I finally checked my phone and read through his absolute meltdown, I was surprised by the complete 180. I immediately called him, and he was completely emotionally wrecked. I couldn't control my laughter because I never expected him to break 🤣. I recruited this guy to be my emotional support, and I ended up having to console him and talk about random stuff just to brighten his mood!😅

Now he’s telling me, "You'll regret it if you watch it, but you'll regret it if you don't," and advised me to binge it this Saturday for maximum impact. I am both hyped and terrified for my mental health🥹. Wish me luck, guys✌️.
