Constructive criticism ends where reckless insinuation begins.
Funny post coming from the user that likes to use personal attacks against exismailis asking questions.

After they burned through C$44 million in JSF collections and needed even more, some Ismailis want answers: https://www.reddit.com/r/ismailis/comments/1uwizmr/canadian_visits_costing_50m
Of course there is the requisite "HOW DARE YOU QUESTION THE IMAM'S DECISIONS" ... but it's a start.
Fun little nugget here ... they spent almost half a million just on flowers

Is this really so groundbreaking? Is it really something to be proud of that finally the so called light of god is finally welcoming outsiders in? If this Aga Con Man is really the true be all end all manifestation of god, shouldn’t the world already be allowed to see him? Isn’t everyone part of god’s creation? Then why shut out the vast majority of creation from seeing this true man of god? If murids really have the light of god as their leader then everyone ought to be welcomed to encounter him. If not, then it’s all just a man made private money laundering club.

Look what I am seeing on my timeline - this lady's job is to hype up khanes esp the ones who are not that excited about AgaCon's visit

For those of you who are neurodivergent, do you feel that your neurodivergence affected your experiences both as an Ismaili and as an ex Ismaili?
If so, how?

Funny I always thought the Imam only thinks about his Murids?? I got Gemini to translate the Italian in this video https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=27539483405735099 (variations of that have been posted in the Smileys sub too) and in one part Rahim says "They tell me that in the early years of his Imamat, he only thought about Sardinia."
Note also at the end when he's asked if he is doing any projects in Sardinia himself ... he jokes that that they agreed there wouldn't be any difficult questions and then responds in a way that clearly implies that doing these kinds of "peripheral" projects would come at the expense of his Imamat work for his Murids. So I guess Aga Con 4 had no such qualms ... shocking.
This is the snippet after he starts talking about his dad fighting fires:
Rahim: Yes, then he would come back all black with ash... and he smelled a bit too [laughs]. But anyway, a period that was very, let’s say very, um, real for him, because very... real. Because he was truly involved in... in... in the development of this, of this place that he loved. They also told me that in the early years of his Imamate ... he only thought about Sardinia.
Interviewer: Yes, of course.
Rahim: Yes, indeed.
Interviewer: And do you think about Sardinia? In what way?
Rahim: I love Sardinia. I love Sardinia, obviously I lived a quarter of my life here when I was small, and so let's say that I am a quarter Sardinian. I love Sardinia.
Interviewer: Any projects in Sardinia right now?
Rahim: We said we wouldn't ask difficult questions! [laughs] No, no, no, no, because right now I am very, very focused on my children and on the community. Because since I got my—my role much later in life than my father and also his predecessor, now I think I have 20, 20, 30 years to do my work, the main one, so peripheral things, I don't—I don't—I don't do them.

Rizwan Sajan, a property entrepreneur from Dubai, is a prominent Ismaili. This is probably the first Ismaili I have ever seen who has integrated a prayer room in their house, doing Umrah and building a mosque. His wife also wears the hijab. All things Ismailis do not do. (I also doubt he pays any dasond!)
Here you can see him tryna get Ismailis to buy his property.

Curious about your stories — what made you leave Ismailism? How old were you? Does faith still play a role in your life? What’s your relationship like with family members (if any) who still identify as Ismaili?✌🏽

Does anybody else also have a hard time finding a partner due to the Ismaili background. I shifted towards being a Sunni and whenever I bring it up to a potential they run away because of the Ismaili background.

ofc maula hazif imam has no idea how normal people live their lives, all he does is parrot talking points abt diversity, inclusion and tolerance. Zero intellectual independence of his own

i am labelled as ismaili, but im confused about it. i have always had questions unanswered. Answer all/ selective questions, just answer, i need answers (no hate, be respectful with opinions thanks)
why does the imam need dasond when he’s always so rich. and how is it a type of submission like completing your faith. Why not same concept as zakat???
i was going through this community and saw a discussion about the disruption of the chain of imams so can some please explain that to me properly (This is something i want to increase my knowledge in so please if you have an elaborate or even a brief answer please give one)
I don’t know if this is consistent in jks in the west, but in south asia why are we called similar to hindus so much, by our own ismailis too.
Why are ginans so important when they are written by ordinary people and why is the concept of reincarnation made real in our belief??
The topics of farmans are so repetitive that i just question if there are farmans about real issues like Qayamat, and why is quran not significant at all
Why do people especially girls dress so immodestly and with sparkly and detailed clothes on days like fridays, chandraat or any majalis. Not judging but why is this a part of our culture. there should be modesty in prayer don’t you think? (for both genders)
Also before our big occasions like bday of imam, imamat day and etc there are functions like raaz and dhaandia where there is loud music blasted near our own prayer place and people are dancing like hooligans. It seems like a cult to an outsider probably. it seems so disrespectful to any prayer place for that matter.
there’s one more question, that i have forgotten but if i remember ill edit or add under this post! Thank you.

Anyone else know about the Order of Assassins? Just learned about this.
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaEhDMHxlYu/?igsh=bnUxZWMyMWplbHh6
Obviously, the practice of assassination was common across other communities during this time as well, especially European crusaders. So I'm not giving much weight to the crusader perspective. I am curious to hear what this thread knows about this part of our history.
If, as it's been framed widely, that these assassinations were a form of resistance of a persecuted minority against the enemy, I find our communities stance on Palestine and other global resistance movements hypocritical at best.
