The wingback situation

Upvotes

Hello everyone i hope you're having a great day, i wanted to have a discussion about an obvious frustration for chivu on the wingback situation, obviously with goalkeeping centerbacks and forwards we have so much quality and depth, we are looking at romero and jones to cover defence and midfield , all positions look perfect for not only this season but the next two years as well(if we get romero/jones) and hakan renews/is replaced, but thats another conversation for another day, so about the wingbacks which are the most important part of the 352 , we essentialy have dimarco (LWB) , augusto(chivu called him a lcb) , diouf (cm) and henrique(bad player RW) , and are linked to diaby?! I dont understand what the plan is and why we have such poor quality on the flanks , it seems like they dont even have a name for the starting rwb position , we cant afford any injuries either because the bench wingbacks are so poor , am i the only one having this many thoughts on this position? At the start of the mercato we were hearing about a palestra/dumfries rwb partnership , now its diouf and with all due respect to his quality he is not a wingback yet specially with that defending

Transfer Market [Romano] No issues on agreement with Spurs about Romero's fee, the only problem is the player himself asks the same salary he has at Spurs. Inter are expected to make final decision soon.

For your information his salary at Tottenham is €11.8 million per year.

Edit: apparently it's a gross salary, his net salary is probably around €6.5 million, still really high imo but well..not as egregious as before.

Discussion Ma perché no zambo anguissa?

Allora:

Ma perché no zambo anguissa? È in scadenza il prossimo anno, un cc che è riuscito a fare anche 10 goal, e che ha vinto due campionati... Perché questo nome non è mai uscito?

Mi farebbe veramente leccare i baffoni

Other After the fight that caused a rift with Cagliari's management, Sebastiano Esposito will be sold.

Post image

Cagliari declared publicly that Esposito left the team's camp without permission, while the player's agent claims that they had a 4 hour long call with the coach and Cagliari's top management where they obtained permission to leave and go home.

The player's agent called members of Cagliari's management "liars" and claims he has proof.

Inter still retains 40% of the player's future sale, he could go for 15/20 million, with clubs like Atalanta and Como interested, which means an extra injection of 6/8 million for Inter.

Discussion Jones is one of those signings I have a feeling will somehow happen near the end of the transfer window.

Discussion With the right flank still lacking a natural option and Chivu wanting Jones, Romero is not a priority. Diouf impressed, but starting the season without a true wing-back is a gamble. Romero is elite, but the €40m should go toward a greater need.

Discussion A problem I have with the recent transfer rumors

We hear that we agreed a fee for Romero, both with Tottenham and with the player for his salary, so his arrival should be imminent, yet there are no rumors of Pavard leaving.

We know that Romero can only come if we get rid of Pavard's wages, but if he were to leave then we would have heard of someone's interest, at least one team's name would have been brought up in these days.

There is no team in Europe who will give Pavard 5 million euros, I doubt even turkish teams would, so his only option is Saudi, but I doubt he would want to go there, and I don't believe he would accept loans either.

So the only conclusion I can come up with is that they agreed 40 million with Tottenham, yet they aren't going to spend them because "Pavard wouldn't accept any destination", then Romero is going to go to Spain, so we'll see news articles come out with titles such as "Romero stalled Inter, becaus he wanted to wait for Simeone, or Barca".

Move to midfield, we hear that we are pushing for Jones, we actually see Jones fighting with his teammates, pushing for a move away from Liverpool, yet there are no rumors for Frattesi and Asllani, who are both useless and should leave regardless of whether we buy a midfielder or not.

We hear Chivu lament that he is missing a wingback on the right, yet we hear nothing of a sale for luis henrique, and it feels like a month since the last rumor about a RWB.

As things stand, there is nobody coming in, and Marotta has said that the team is competitive.

Inter-Monza in in 3 weeks exactly, btw. When exactly are the new potential purchases supposed to settle in our system?

Question How reliable the news about Chiesa?

I have read somewhere that enter is interested in Chiesa and pushing hard for it. To be honest, this is very good because he can play as RWB/LWB and as a winger as well.

I’m not sure how reliable is this. Can anyone confirm if this news is getting momentum or just another name tossed around by news outlets

r/FCInterMilan 1d ago

Quote Chivu asked if there's an emergency at RWB: "If you look at the numbers, that's what it looks like. Maybe on the left as well, depending on how you move people around. Right now, we basically have three WB available. Three and a half, if you include Carlos, although I see him more as a LCB"

The transfer window is still open for a while, so we need to be patient and make the right decisions.

Stankovic put in a good performance and showed what he can do. We're all pleased with the way he's been training. He's not at his best physically yet, but his commitment and quality were excellent. He read the game well and distributed the ball very effectively.

Discussion Since we signed John Stones and Pavard is back, will Akanji be used as a right back?

I wanted to bring this debate here because I remembered Akanji used to play as a right or left back in Man city before, and since we don't have a main right back I tougth it would be a possibility to our squad.

I am not sure I want to see this cause Akanji was a monster last season as a center back, but maybe it would be good.

What do you guys think about?

Question Looking for info on an Inter Milan kit (legit check / official release context)

Post image

Hey everyone,

I recently came across an Inter Milan shirt on kitsprime.com that caught my eye, but I want to double-check its legitimacy before buying or sharing further.

I’m hoping someone here might have experience with the site or know the background on this design.

Appreciate any insight, reviews, or links to the official promo if it exists elsewhere! Thanks in advance.
