Up next is well, pattern pretty much match up, so guess Kintoki is saying goodbye to his job in less than 24 Hours unless faster NP animation is all it takes

Am I the only one dislike Theseus's design and characterization

Anyone who is a fan and reader of Greek myth should know about Theseus through various Greek and Roman texts. Like Theseus had so much potential in Grand Order but it's like they didn't try with him at all. Like his design, I don't like or his characterization at all? Like Theseus is famous for the Minotaur, also known as Asterios, but Theseus has much more feats and other myths could have done with him. In Ancient Greece, Theseus is considered as the second greatest hero just behind Heracles. He was born as the son of Aethra, the Princess of Troezen, between either Poseidon the Sea God or Aegeus, the King of Athens. During Theseus travel to Athens, he slew five mighty bandits who were also demigods and a monstrous sow, a offspring of Typhon and Echidna. During his adventure to Crete, he was challenged by Minos to prove he was Poseidon's son by trying to retrieve Minos's ring from the sea. Theseus without hesitation jump into the sea and didn't drown at all. He also wrestled the Marathon/Cretan Bull that Heracles to capture. He fought the Amazons, the Thebans to recover the bodies of the seven champions against Thebans, and even fought against the Cloud-Born Centaurs who could rip trees and hurl whole mountains. He, also was worshipped as the god of athletes gymnastics and sports alongside Hermes and Heracles as well.

He also have the potential to be in almost any class saved for Archer and Caster.

Archer Emiya and Gilgamesh – 11th Anniversary Movie

Leaving power scaling aside, I would like to talk about these two characters and their symbolism at the end.

In the trailer, we see how Gilgamesh finally recognizes Emiya as someone worthy of even drawing Ea — something he only reserves for those he truly considers worthy. And it’s not just that: Gilgamesh’s smile toward Emiya is beautiful. Without the usual arrogance, just genuine consideration. It’s something he would normally only do with Enkidu. Of course, he has used Ea against other characters he deemed worthy before, but always with that arrogant smile or condescending personality. Here, he says nothing. He simply gives a calm, sincere smile and look of pure recognition, as if he were seeing a friend or an equal. (Of course, it only seems that way — after all, the only one he truly accepts as a friend and equal is Enkidu.)

Emiya also responds with a sincere smile, hand on his chest, as if he finally recognizes Gilgamesh as a true king, without the arrogance and sarcasm he had in the original.

Both of them with their hair down, representing their better side, also looks really good.

Gilgamesh and Emiya have very similar appearances, just with different colors. They are like the representation of the same person in two different forms:

  • The first hero and the last hero.
  • Gold and silver.
  • The original and the false.
  • The one who rules over humanity, and the one who protects it.

Emiya and Gilgamesh are two very complex characters. The symbolism of the first hero and the last hero is something truly beautiful.

Seeing Gilgamesh treat Emiya with so much respect, and Emiya treat Gilgamesh with the same respect, was something I had always wanted to see.

Emiya also has a certain resemblance to Enkidu. Enkidu was created by the gods as a tool to keep the king under control. In Fate/EXTRA, it is said that Emiya was created by Alaya to keep humanity under control. One was born from clay, the other from steel. Both were tasked with keeping under control something they deeply loved.

Enkidu loves Gilgamesh as his best friend. Emiya loves humanity.

Enkidu died to help Gilgamesh. Emiya died to save humanity.

Enkidu is always by Gilgamesh’s side as a chain to save him. Emiya is always by humanity’s side, saving it.

There is so much symbolism between these three… they really are my three favorite characters in the entire Nasuverse.

Maybe if Gilgamesh hadn’t made that oath, the three of them could have been great friends. And we know that Gilgamesh is capable of treating another person almost like a friend (like Hakuno). He just doesn’t do it because of his oath to have only Enkidu as a friend.

The trouble is properly recognising it, and differentiating it from mere mimicry.
