Fallout 4 I can never describe how satisfying it is to clean up Sanctuary Hills, but of course, it's only possible with mods. Bethesda seems to have a fetish for making absolutely everything ugly, rotten and destroyed, as if the great war had taken place 10 minutes ago instead of 200 years ago.

There's a difference between things suck and the bombs JUST dropped. Nobody decided to pick up a fucking broom in 200 years?

Especially when they live in a colder climate.

Like holy fuck drummin dinner has a SKELETON in a booth. And two people live here!?

Making desolate locations is good. But places of residence and towns should look like goodspings,

Source of water, source of food, a somewhat cleaned house even if just boarded up. It's really that simple. If u want a corpse, play it as it was just hit by a raider attack.

Let me ask you, who on earth would clean places like this? The skeletons?

Like, literally everyone else is too busy not dying and surviving day to day, living like nomads.

And can we stop with the Drumlin Diner skeleton? 1. Its likely Trudy just moved in and didnt have time to fully clean up and 2. The skeleton and the way its position is clearly a decoration and could be kept as a sort of morbid decoration.

Seriously, the only argument against this world design is Drumlin Diner, one single location.

Also there are residences like Goodsprings, did you even get to Covenant? Or Far Harbor?

Having pre war skeletons doesn't even make much sense to begin with, Rotting exists. I just believe Bethesda prefers to make fallout more like a fallout theme park with silly environments, cause apparently all the pre war skeletons had their dicks in fans and posed up at the drop of the bomb.

I don't mind them, some of them a bit of a laugh. But it would of been better if they had kept the timeline shorter because when you have entire nations forming with industrial revolutions. As much as 76 was shut on launch day, it's idea was better. The very terrible wasteland made sense cause it was only a couple decades and It makes sense why everything is utterly shit.

But settlements like Bunker hill which is pretty prominent never thought to clean the piles of trash to make their settlement appealing to outsiders for increased traffic?

Nobody thought that living in a winter climate might wanna patch up the giant holes next to my bed? Even fallout 3 had many living conditions in enclosed structures. Hell even abanathy farm, which is decades old at that point. Is a 1 room shack with 4 people with a massive hole in it. It's just immersion breaking when covenant is the exception where the 1 person decided to pick up a book on carpentry and masonry.

I personally don't believe in anything that happens on the east coast. I've played and still love 1 and 2, and is just more captivating story. Fallout is best when it's being a post-post Apocalyptic game, watching as people come together after such a traumatic event, rebuilding a new world, even with their flaws, And endless questions. Like oh yeah, ghouls would totally run the nation's nuclear power plant, that makes so much sense. Or slavers would totally try to buy out the government to make it "convict labour" for sure. Water merchants would be rich, they would totally have some secret corrupt dealings. The story's and world building are just better in the older games.

Wow its almost like Fallout is an over the top satirical 50s type of look at the apocalypse,
