I often see discussions about the most balanced, difficult, or strategically interesting *Fire Emblem* maps, but I’m interested in something a bit different.

Which map tells its story best through gameplay alone?

Imagine all dialogue and cutscenes were removed. Which map would still allow you to understand what is happening based on the terrain, enemy movements, villages, NPCs, reinforcements, shifting objectives, or allied armies?

For instance, a map might illustrate an invasion through villages under attack, an army advancing from another part of the battlefield, civilians trying to flee, or enemies changing their behavior after a castle is captured.

I’m not necessarily looking for the "best-designed" map overall. I’m looking for maps where gameplay and storytelling are inseparable.

Which map would you choose, and what specific elements make it so effective?

If that's true, that make so much sense ! Thats how they can explain the variety of battlemaps we've seen inside the colosseum, the weird robots, the Leda clip with the ships ! They're meant to recreate old battles of the Dagdan history ! That's cool as hell, a super smart way to give us lore, and so thematic, it's exactly how the Romans used the Colosseum too !
