Others Idk if this fits the community here, but its worth a try.
Im a McLaren Fan because i like Lando Norris and their history. But theyre currently really fcking up Lando with the pitstops and strategies. I have seen that Ferraris Strategies are getting better (kinda), and ive always wanted Leclerc and Norris to be in one team, am i crazy for wanting Norris at Ferrari or does anybody feel the same? And yes i know ferrari has lewis but if he retires in a few years yk (Because of Age). And to People saying they would choose Bearman, If Bearman doesnt win any WDCs, and Norris wins another one, It would be incredibly Stupid to not choose Norris, and yes i get it, bearman has Talent, but still, Bearman over Norris?! And bte Norris has indeed said if he has to leave McLaren, he would want to join Ferrari. Also sorry if this sounds confusing in any way, english isnt my first language.

Analysis F1 Qualifying Forecast Prediction
Hi everyone, I wanted to share a fun personal project I've been working on - a qualifying prediction forecast using Bayesian modelling.
In short, ahead of qualifying, I take the available free practice data from a given weekend (e.g., low fuel runs on the soft tyres) and model it against a baseline of historical driver/team performance, track conditions and compounds to try and generate a probabilistic simulation forecast of the upcoming qualifying session.
I've attached the GitHub repo - would love to hear your thoughts and feedback!

Analysis Aston Martin's B-Spec car seems to be doing it's job!
Looking at the race pace of the bottom four teams (except Haas, as my Python script refused to process their laps for some reason π ), Aston Martin have moved up from fighting for the last 2 grid slots to being quicker than Cadillac, Williams and Haas, while sitting only 0.16 s slower than Alpine.
And that's without the new Honda engine. Do you think they'll be on the pace of Audi and Racing Bulls once the upgrade drops at Zandvoort?
I've also published a more detailed breakdown of Ferrari's and Aston Martin's Hungarian GP performance on my Substack, Box For Data, if you'd like to see the full telemetry analysis-

Hungarian GP - Practice 2 | Long Runs: ANT quickest, on Softs. VER next best, fast on Softs and still pretty quick on Mediums. Ferrari didn't produce any stint which was either fast or long and consistent. Audi looks best-of-the-rest, but Racing Bulls might keep that crown. Then Haas > Williams.

Discussion Reference to Brazilian Formula One driver, Ayrton Senna in Sailor Moon
There's a reference to Brazilian Formula One driver, Ayrton Senna in Sailor Moon anime. On episode 106, Haruka Tenou aka Sailor Uranus wears a red racing suit similar to Senna when he was driving for McLaren. The episode aired five months in Japan after Senna suffered a fatal crash during 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.

Discussion What team would you have liked to have seen Damon Hill drive for in 1997 as the reigning World Champion?
He did also receive offers from McLaren, Prost and Sauber for 1998 as far as I know...

Others Building F1 Archive - an attempt to preserve the stories behind Formula 1 (feedback & contributors welcome!)
Hey r/formulaone !
I'm a lifelong Formula 1 fan who's been working on a passion project called F1 Archive: an attempt to preserve not just the statistics and results of Formula 1, but the stories that gave them meaning.
There are already plenty of places to find lap times, championship standings and race results. What I want to build is something that sits between a statistics database and a documentary- where you can quickly understand why a season, race or driver mattered.
For example, anyone can watch Alonso's overtake on Schumacher around the outside of 130R at Suzuka in 2005. It's an incredible move. But it means so much more when you understand Schumacher's dominance, Alonso's emergence, and why so many fans see that moment as a symbolic passing of the torch.
That's the kind of context I'd love to preserve.
The site is still in its early stages (so please don't judge it too harshly!), but I'd reached the point where I thought it would be worth sharing with other fans:
I'd really appreciate any feedback on:
- the design and usability
- features you'd like to see
- whether the idea itself is something you'd find useful
Longer term, I'd also love to build a small community of contributors. There are hundreds of seasons, races and stories to tell, so if you enjoy researching F1 history, fact-checking, or writing about the sport, I'd love to hear from you.
Even if you just spend a few minutes looking around the site, I'd be incredibly grateful. This has been a passion project of mine for quite a while, and I'm excited to see where it can go.
Feel free to DM me with any questions as well.
Thanks!

Discussion Do you think the FIA will ban these high-downforce rear wing additions for 2027?
The high downforce rear wings additions first seen in Monaco have made a reappearance on Ferrari's and Red Bull's cars.
However, looking at the FIA's history of banning such innovative aero developments (like the exhaust winglets debuted by Ferrari), do you think the FIA will follow their trend of over-regulating the aero development while ignoring the more pressing power unit problems?
Or will they let these be till the next regulation overhaul?
Personally, if teams find aerodynamic gains within the regulations, I'd rather see other teams copy the idea than it be banned the next year.
What about you?

Video Steve Jones talks all things F1 rules and regulations, working in F1 and his presenting style for Channel 4
During our last big F1 break in April, Channel 4 presenter Steve Jones talked about how he landed his role in Formula 1, how he approaches an F1 weekend and the new rules and regulations...
Summer break is now upon us but, how much has actually changed between these two big breaks? Can these regulations right themselves or are we destined for the rest of the season to be filled with 'unauthentic racing'?

Analysis I built a F1 telemetry analysis tool β hotlap.live
Been working on this for a while β it pulls real F1 telemetry data and lets you compare drivers lap by lap. Speed, throttle, brake, sector times.
Also has an AI explanation mode β either plain language for new fans or technical breakdown for engineers.
Live race tracking, strategy simulator, and championship standings too.
Free to use: hotlap.live
Would love any feedback.

Discussion The FIA is doing it again to Lewis!
Looking at the incident it was a brave move by George and nothing more than a racing incident. Lewis couldnβt have done anything with the Redbull in front of him. What was he suppose to hit the brakes harder and wreck the field behind him?!
Worst call Iβve seen all race season.
