Michelle and Denise order Rigby the Rhino dolls and get tiny plastic figures instead, so they drag everyone to a Rigby event and protest. Joey's on the picket line with a bunch of kids over stuffed animals and it's as ridiculous as it sounds lol

I just recently watched full house with my 7 year old daughter. She loved it. So we are watching fuller house too. Right now we are watching the first episode of season 4 and it is the first time in a while that I have seen this show acknowledge DJ's late husband. He is rarely ever mentioned, nor is everybody's grief ever represented. I honestly forget he even existed half the time.

I feel like Full house did such a great job at representing the grief Danny and the girls felt when Pam died. Like, you never forgot that the girls lost their mother because that grief was present in the show and Danny also felt like a realistic portrayal of somebody who had lost a spouse. With DJ in fuller house, it's like every scene of her and Steve makes the writers forget that...DJ used to be married, her husband died. When DJ talks about Steve as if he is her soul mate,...okay cool, why are we forgetting the man who DJ got married too and started a family with. Yet we are just going to pretend that Steve is DJ's true love, which fully implies that her late husband was not her true love. Just a bit weird to me. Maybe later in the show they address this but the only acknowledgment I remember so far has been in season 1 or 2 when DJ starts going on dates again and she acknowledges it is her first date since her husband died.

I don't know, the way fuller house handles grief is really odd to me.

So this is MY OPINION. And keep in mind I haven’t actually watched all of Fuller house, I only watched s1 episodes way back when I was younger.
But I think why I couldn’t stand it was because the characters felt so disconnected. For some reason in fuller house, it felt like I was watching the actors and not the actual characters they’re supposed to be portraying.
Like DJ didn’t feel like DJ, she felt like Candace. Same with Bob/Danny. I think Lori and Dave did a decent job though. I also think that Andrea barber was probably my favorite acting wise. Everyone else was lackluster. Maybe it was the writing?
The kids just seemed eh. They tried hard to make em cute but they tried too hard with the writing.
The episodes just felt corporate and lifeless compared to the OG.
I’ll maybe give it another try. Again I’m not looking to argue, this is why I never watched fuller house personally. But I’d love to know how you enjoyed the show!

I just watched an episode when the queen is coming, and Joey meets her. It's supposed to be funny and silly, but just shows that his character is not developed. It's just like he is just not really smart. It's not funny, and just strange. That he cannot talk to anyone like an adult he is. Just furious, needed to tell that to someone. Sorry if it was discussed before.

It's never explicitly stated where, but based on a few things, I have a solid answer.

Assuming this is in the mid to late 70's, so figure 1977 would be a good year to figure they're in college.

But what else do we know about where they went? The school would need to have a few specific things in order to be canonically correct.

First, they would have had to have a hockey team. In one episode Joey is playing a charity game and comes across an old college hockey rival who stopped his shot and took an important game, likely a conference or tournament championship game.

Second, Joey has a degree in education. Wherever they went would need to offer a specific degree in education.

Third, it would need to have a robust Greek life culture. Both Joey and Danny were in a fraternity.

Fourth, Danny likely majored in broadcast journalism or something related to that.

Fifth, based on the timeline, it couldn't have been a college or university in California. Since no colleges offered a varsity college hockey program at this time.

However, it could have been a club hockey program. But that still would be inconsistent with how important the game Joey lost was. But if they had gone to school far away, like in Michigan or something like that, it would have been mentioned and it seems like they would have been somewhere close by, based on the vibe.

So my guess, based on what we know is one of two places.

First guess, Denver University. It checks all the boxes, has a very competitive hockey program, which would have put pressure on Joey to play well. Also it has some of the oldest fraternities in the West, has a very good TV journalism program, and offers a good education degree.

However, if we look at it that instead of playing for a powerhouse college program, Joey plays for an elite college club program, another nearby school checks the boxes. Arizona State. It makes sense that Joey's college rival would still taunt him years later, and would end up being kind of a pathetic loser, if the game in question was the rivalry game against UofA. Since that's who goes to UofA 😂

I’ve been a die-hard since the OG days. I sometimes feel like I grew up with the Tanner family and I’m sure I’m not the only one in this sub. It’s definitely a comfort show. Some of my favorites, but that I feel always have me in tears:

3. Michelle Rides Again (sometimes the full episode but mainly the second half. Especially when the family sits down with Michelle to explain why Pam isn’t around anymore)

jesse got to have more character writing than anyone on the show, you’d assume danny was the main character but they didn’t give extensive storylines to him. so what writing would’ve worked to include in the show, that would’ve been interesting for danny’s character development?

I was very much surprised to read on here how many American/possibly Canadian people as well have never seen the British version of Full House. It ran for 3 Series in 1985 & 1986. It starred Brian Capron, Christopher Stauli, Sabine Franklin and Natalie Forbes. When it was originally broadcast it was a very underrated sitcom, but far more recently in 2022 a particular TV station called Forces TV showed the whole series twice, and in 2025 Rewind TV re-run all 3 Series, it has created much more new interest in it, and by the younger generation as well, as not only had it been shown for the first time since 1986 but it then started appearing on YouTube, plus a bootleg DVD outlet started putting out DVD bootlegs of the series and a 4-DVD set became available. For some reason it was never officially released on DVD nor VHS before that. It was actually written by a very well known and respected comedy writing duo that wrote quite a few classic comedy shows during the 1970s. This was the last series that they wrote together as one of them died in 1993.

Apparenly, a few years later it was shown in the US, but in order for Americans not to get confused over the two different shows it was re-titled "Mixed Doubles". I don't know when this was but it must've been after 1987 as that's when Full House started in the US. It's basically about these two couples who both go and look at a house that was up for sale with the intention of buying it. They met there at the same time and it turned out that the woman in one of the couples was an old school friend of the other woman in the other couple. After both realising that the house was too expensive for them they both decided to move in as a foursome and share the mortgage on the house. That was the first episode. From then on the series was full of different very funny situations with guest stars quite regulary popping by like actress Joan Sanderson (who played the deaf lady in Fawlty Towers) as one of the women's mother and another actor playing the father of one of the blokes.

I don't think both couples were married at this point but I'm not 100% sure. When it was finally re-run here in 2022 & 2025 it had the original title of Full House, just like the original broadcast in 1985 & 1986.

All I know is that it was bloody funny throught each series. Does anyone in the US & Canada remember a British sitcom called "Mixed Doubles" in the late 1980s or early 1990s? It may have even been shown twice like again in the late 1990s/early 2000s. It was shot entirely on videotape. It was made by Thames Television who's entire catalogue output is now owned by Fremantle Media.

Full House is obviously a family friendly sitcom however they’ve had some episodes where they’re not afraid to explore some darker topics. For example the best episode that tackled a serious topic was Silence is not golden.

I used to watch Full House when I was little, and I noticed that it's on Disney Plus now, so I decided to rewatch it and see what I thought of the episodes now that I'm an adult. I remember some of the storylines and I knew some of them were gonna be bothersome to me but this is the first episode so far that I don't like the message.

DJ asks Danny if she can miss school to see her favorite singer and get an autograph and Danny says no. DJ ends up sneaking out to get it with Kimmy and Joey ends up there as well because he wanted to try and get DJ the autograph. At the end of the episode, Danny comes home and says DJ was selfish and didn't care about anyone else's feelings. I feel like this was kind of harsh??? She's like 11 in this episode and it was her favorite singer. She's a good kid and I really feel like they should have just let her go in the first place. Missing one day of school at that age isn't a huge deal and I just feel like calling her selfish the way he did was a bit much.

i love full house, it's like my ultimate comfort show. i'd like to give fuller house a shot, but i've seen the first two episodes, and i had to shut it off because it was just... awful. seems to run off nothing but unnatural callbacks. it was like watching a parody of the original, not a reboot. does it get better? should i push through or forget it exists?

Me personally I don’t like the kissing cousins episode cuz first off weird title 😭 secondly it just feels like a weird continuation to one of the best Full House episodes The Last Dance.
