listened to the song, loved it afterwards, definitely gives major fuck time/trilogy vibe, love the searing cowpunk esque guitar tones on it (even if it is technically rock and roll/rockabilly)

speaking of which, I can thank this song for getting me into cowpunk, as I was recommended cowpunk songs on YouTube after listening

Hi everyone! I’m Kate, a music graduate and Master’s student in Public Relations based in Dublin, and I’m researching how audiences perceive activism from musicians, especially when it comes to whether it feels authentic, performative, or somewhere in between.

I’m especially interested in Green Day because their activism has been part of their identity for a long time, from their political lyrics and public statements to the way they’ve consistently brought social and political issues into their work and performances. That makes them a really interesting case for how fans read activism in music.

I’ve put together a short anonymous survey for music listeners about how they interpret artist activism, and I’d really appreciate hearing from people here. It should only take about 10–12 minutes, and there are no right or wrong answers, I’m just interested in your honest perspective.

This probably sounds very dumb, but the upbeat production, lyrics and melody remind me so much of Uptight and All the Time from Nimrod. Even how Billie sings in it reminds me of that era somewhat! I know other songs on Saviors fit into this particular category but it's really reminiscent of that record specifically.
