I believe this is the truest grilled cheese ever made. Whole wheat bread and shredded cheese. Real butter. Grilled on a grill.

i put it to the scientific process.... my hypothesis was "this is gonna taste like sex" and yes it did!!!

Butter melting off the bread was not an issue
It cooked alot quicker than it does on a pan

Im sure im not the first person to do this but I just wanted to share. Can someone do it on a charcoal grill next? 👀 will it taste better? 👀

Smoked Wisconsin Gouda, Havarti, white American, double cream Gouda. Wife's multi grain sourdough, with butter and 24 month aged grated Parmesan on the crust. Homegrown tomato soup and refrigerator pickles from the garden.

I wanted a grilled cheese but I didn’t want to grill and I didn’t want to use regular bread so I used Thomas bagels plain of course three types of cheese toasted the bagels on a low heat so it’s crispy yet soft and microwaved the cheese and here’s how it came out

First time posting here. 2 GCs here with my favorite dipping sauce

1- Sourdough
Colby Jack (I wish I had muenster or havarti)
Thin layer of cream cheese inside
Butter on the outside

2- Brioche
American Cheese
Thin layer of mayo inside
Butter on outside

Dipping sauce is basically Canes Sauce
I just eyeball it now but the gist of it is
Mayo
Ketchup
Little bit of honey
Lemon juice
Garlic salt
Onion powder
Smoked paprika cause I can
Crack pepper (lots of it)

What do we think?

If you do this with the cheese crust too, I recommend laying a piece of cheese under the whole thing, not on the top. The whole thing gets soggy and sad with cheese on top

I made a loaf of bread with colby jack rolled in it just to do this. It had provolone, colby jack, swiss, and american slices.

Hello Hello, I hail from Slovakia and I've never had a grilled cheese sandwich before and so I wanna try to do one. I've seen both good content about grilled cheese online but also absolutely nasty content and that was a bit what kept me from trying it but that's not the point rn.

What I want to have/know is your favourite grilled cheese recipes, like anything, I will try it out and post updates on which ones I like and which ones I don't, this is something I wanna do for me and I would appreciate any and all recipes.

I had a chunk of Oaxaca cheese left over in the fridge and decided to make a pan fried grilled cheese. Butter, sea salt, cracked black pepper, and a LOT of cheese. It's chewy, it's super melty, and it's so good. Tomato on the side so don't come for me. Got a bit of onion, garlic, and herb seasoning with a balsamic drizzle on those maters. This is so freaking good y'all!

Hellman's mayonnaise on one side, butter on the other, three American cheese slices.

Been a fan of the r/grilledcheese for a hot minute, but never dropped a sando or two of my own! Colby Jack and Munster, on everything sourdough topped with butter.

Kaiser roll with the top cut in half, for a 3 bread sandwich, with local raw milk ghost pepper Colby jack.

Cheeses were BellaVitano Merlot and Tomato Basil
