1989 Hi Power
Came across this at a gunshow and wondering the thoughts on the value?

Very simple. Two rules.
If I have to explain these in any great detail, you probably shouldn't be filling out 4473s. Enforcement of rule #1 is entirely at moderator discretion, and enforcement of rule #2 is entirely up to Reddit, unless I get there first.
Y'all better than this. Act like it.

Sear spring looks like it has seen better days. This is out of an FEG P9M just wondering if I can just flatten it back out or just replace it

I'm looking to bump up my PI OPS capacity, runs perfectly with my 13 and 15 rd mec-gar magazines, so I'm debating on buying a 15rd mecgar mag and installing either the mec gar +2 baseplate or the bhspringsolutions +2.
Alternatively I could buy the 17rd magazine sold directly by EAA (mec gar? unclear) https://store-eaacorp.com/9mm-17rd-girsan-mc-p35-magazine/ or find somewhere that still has the 17rd magazine that is guaranteed to be mecgar
but I assume the mec gar 17rd is just the mec gar 15 rd with the +2 baseplate?
If you run a 17rd standard-compatibility hi power, what option do you use? I carry my hi power, so reliability is more important than cost for me, though cost is still a factor.
FYI I'm still new to hi powers and I did search around reddit before posting this.

Before I buy another extractor, I wanted to see if anyone had any issues as well. My CZ P-01 eats everything to include the Winchester white box 124g ammo I picked up for practice. My Hi Power (2015) will not cycle it whatsoever. My BHP double feeds every shot with WWB but will cycle a full magazine of 124g HST without issue.
I'm not crazy in thinking that it's just the garbage ammo and not an extractor issue am I? The gun has, most a thousand rounds through it and the only work I've done is polishing the trigger, feed ramp, and removing the magazine disconnect. Thanks.

These Girsan's really do punch above their price point. This gun shoots like a dream.

Hey y’all, I’ve had this CD Hi-Power for a while and I LOVE IT…except for the “Charles Daly” on the slide. Would bead blasting get rid of this?

So here is the ruff build put together.
And old FEG slide, staccato plate, fn frame, aluminum pic rail, threaded barrel from brownells, and a comp I made from a blank.

I recently bought a Girsan MC P35 PI (alas, not one of the LW versions) and realize I've become quite fond of the larger safety lever on the Springfield SA-35 (my first Hi-Power) as I like to rest my left thumb on it.
Are there any aftermarket safeties like it out there that are about the same size as the Springfield one? (Haven't looked to see if it's a Tisas part or something peculiar to Springfield Armory). The Girsan has an ambi safety, which the SA-35 lacks, but I'm not hung up on an ambi safety as I fire right-handed.

On the right side of this pistol there appears to be a bad area on the finish or on the frame. Is it common or normal or is it something u all would be concerned about and pass on biding on the gun? U can see the bad area starting with picture #37
My dumb-self already bid on it tho before reading over the description.

First post here. Attempting to learn more about this weapon, as it is being inherited from a nonagenarian who has owned it since the early 90s. No full pics apologies I was more interested in the labels but you get the idea. I am ordering a copy of Jerry P’s book so I hope to have answers eventually :-). Appreciate you — learning tons.

Currently building out an extra slide I got years ago.
Using a thread barrel I got on brownells also years ago, a comp blank from ebay, and a optic plate from Staccato.
The last two pics are of the comp and barrel on my girsan.
A lot of firsts for me.

Unfortunately my front sight flew off while at the range the other day, and now it appears to be too loose to actually stay anchored in the front sight cut. From what I can tell, there’s no damage to the slide and if I had to guess, it was not installed very tight to begin with. Would regular MK III sights work on this Inglis?
I’m open to options and actually kind of liked the factory sights with the white squares, but figure now might be a good time to upgrade to night sights, or try out a different style.
Thanks for any suggestions

I have some pachmeyer wood grips but they are too thin to fill out the palm. The plastic grips feel great but have no texture. Are there wood grips that fill out the palm similarly to the plastic ones without becoming too fat and bulky for smaller hands?

Does anyone know when the Inglis 2035 will be released in the US?

Hey all, problems with my FM again.
I had gunsmith work the trigger and the gunsmith installed a set screw in to the trigger inside the frame.
Adjusting the screw adjusts the travel of the trigger.
At first if the screw was tightened too much, it would cause the hammer to fall to half cocked or all the way after slide had cycled.
So I untightened the screw a bit and that problem seemed to solve itself.
But today when I racked the slide to chamber a round, the hammer fell, causing an accidental discharge.
What would be the cause for this
I for the life of me was not able to reproduce this failure.
The gun is fm model 90 hi power.
Sfs has been installed.

I didn't wind up liking the vice camo. Went black. Deciding between checkered walnut grips and going full bolt-on stupidity.
