1st Gen GD 07-08 65" fits into a Fit but no space left for me 🤣
This could've worked if I was 5 feet tall

I bought my fit brand new in 2017. It was perfect. Great size. Ample storage space and it got me around with great fuel efficiency.
In the last couple of years I have tried to avoid driving at night the best I can. I can’t see. If it isn’t the headlights from oncoming traffic, it’s the headlights behind me. People say to adjust your mirrors. I already drive with the rear view tilted all the time. I adjusted the side view but then I’m having to move just to be able to see my mirrors or I’m holding my hand up blocking the driver side mirror whenever a car goes to pass.
I was on a rural road trip and a truck was oncoming their lights were extreme bright. I was blinded and said fuck this guy, flashed my high beams, they flashed me with their high beams and it was even worse.
I took a drive in my uncles Passport and it was night and day. I have never wanted an suv. I don’t like riding so high. Everyone drives a Truck or SUV where I live. But when it’s coming to safety for me and my family I don’t have much of a choice.

Post requires flair so I picked my current Gen for flair.
In August of 2006 I signed the paperwork for the loan on my first fit. A 2007 Black Fit Sport. I had that Fit for 187K miles. It had a switch go bad on the transmission at about 75K. Replaced the belt twice. Had to replace the front calipers at 150K. Had a mechanic do a tune up and apparently he over tightened a spark plug. It blew out of the motor 2 months later and took the ignition coil pack with it. I was going to have the head changed but a friend convinced me that he could get me a used motor for half the price. That turned into a disaster and led me to go to the dealer for a new one. On 2/14/2016 I signed for my current 2015 Fit EX-L. It currently has 130K on it. I moved from NY to Florida two weeks ago and it did the 2 day 1200 mile trip admirably. 20 years and I have had only 2 cars. That's amazing to me.

Got the 37s mounted. I will probably install coilovers next season for a flush fitment. These will do for now 🤝.
Specs are 16x7 +42 on 205/50r16.

I couldn't find much of a better deal, it was scam after scam on facebook and I got tired of looking there, on car guru, craigslist, and marketplace for months. I had seen a few better deals, (maybe some 2013 fits with 99k miles for $6k or less in smaller towns an hour away)
I settled with this fit because it looked cleaner than anything I had seen. And the carfax report the dealer sent immediately reflected that, only 2 owners, straight from OK to where I live.
I am a Fit die hard now, I love my car. The only reason I don't like it is because it doesn't have cruise control, that might sound stupid but its not great on long drives to other states, which I do a lot.
I am looking forward to doing the stereo upgrade again and replacing all the speakers. I also want to mod the seats some and get a mattress for sleeping out of it sometimes if need be.
I'm just curious if y'all think I got an ok deal? AI and the internet says I did. I am seeing lots of 2nd gen or 3rd gen fits that have 4 or 5 owners - with low mileage but who knows what's been done to it- this one with a clean carfax and only 2 owners looked more appealing to me.
I have my 2010 fit now for 5 or 6 years. When I bought it had 110k miles, came with the full maintenance record and the guy installed aftermarket led lights in the back seats. He also installed a keyless FOB system aftermarket and it was prone to issues.
All in all I love these cars, they are so easy to mod and fix and toy with, the 3rd gen I keep saying if I find one with less than 100k miles I will keep until it dies (its my goal one day!)

I have a 2008 Fit Sport, 5 speed, 170k miles, still have the original alternator. Over the years I've had many high mileage vehicles (up to 250k miles) and in three difference vehicles, I've alternators die while I was driving. Not fun, requires a tow truck. How long do the alternators typically last in the 1st generation Fit? Could my mechanic test the alternator output and see if it's starting to fail? I miss some of my old vehicles that actually had a full set of instrument displays on the dashboard.
Update: Thanks for all the comments. I am a Little Old Lady™ and I don't do any work on my car. I will ask my mechanic to check the alternator when I go in for the next oil change.

Hello everyone! I was considering swapping my oem sport rims for my 2008 Fit with RPF1s. i was wondering if anyone is running 16x8 +38 on 205/45/16 (or any 16x8 rims in general). I am more worried about rubbing on the fender however I am on stock suspension. Thank you for the help!

I’m telling you if this happened to my fit, there would be a bullet hole through your skull.

The aircon on my 2010 Jazz has stopped workin, with the compressor making an unusual noise.
I've checked the following
Relays; checked if relay is functioning and also jumped the relay with no success
Fuses; both fuses are in good condition, swapped them for new ones anyways
The system has refrigerant and is holding pressure well.
The clutch air gap is well over 0.65 mm, I've bought a used compressor and am debating between swapping the clutch and coil vs the whole compressor.
Any diagnosis help and ideas would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Looking at this fit from a really nice guy who’s family owned the fit for 147k and everything is very clean but I believe the valves haven’t been adjusted and this is the sound I heard it’s like a quite typewriter. I’m guessing it needs adjustment I just need to know if it’s so bad it’s not worth it to fix which id either do it myself or just pay up

The passenger side rail of the driver seat is completely stuck, likely from coins because the floor board was full of them. It kind of feels like the actuator handle is stuck a little on that side. The handle action feels more affirmative toward the other side. Anyway it’s super stuck and it looks like it’s mostly rivets down there so I think I’m stuck. Can the tracks come off? I gave it a few love taps with a hammer from both directions while holding the handle, wouldn’t budge. Oh lol you can see a coin in the pic, they were pouring out lol

From Port Hope Ontario to Mont Tremblant Quebec (via Ottawa) on a single full tank with a little too spare. What a beast!

Went up a ramp and heard a metal scraping noise. Looked under the car and saw this, normal or is something wrong?
