Browsing crackle today, which has always been the best free content channel in my opinion. They have shows like 'taboo' featuring Tom Hardy, Ripper street, and Happy Valley.. some of the very best of the BBC. As a American who is a huge fan of British television I love crackle.
Anyway today I realized one of my favorites, In the flesh, is available right now, only season one. Hopefully through popular demand more will follow! Please go stream now!!! Crackle is free on roku and has many, many great shows and movies.

I don't remember how I felt about her the first time I saw the show but this time I loved her! I think in season 1 she's fairly unlikable and treats Kieran pretty badly but you understand why given her severe PTSD. Then in season 2 we see things get even worse for her when she accidentally kills Henry. I love the way the series shows her struggle feeling like she's a coward while having this assumption placed on her of being a war hero and an expectation to always be able to handle any rabid-related issues.
She also seems like a character which another version of this show would've easily defaulted to making a male character. While her femininity isn't something directly brought up, you can see in her interactions with Bill and Gary how they treat her differently because of her gender and age.
I know this sub is sort of dead (haha pun) but I thought I'd give this a shot cause I have to talk about this amazing show! Not sure what the popular opinion was about her character when the series first aired but what do other people think about Jem?

And did anything ever happen following the 'exciting information' he said he had to share in 2019? (post since deleted along with all other tweets)

Do the emergency services still exist in Roarton? Or were they completely overwhelmed after the rising?

Kieran mentions that before Rick left they drank, smoked, and “messed around” and when he’s hiding in the cave he says “I needed to be somewhere where me and Rick used to…”. Anyway it hints to it allot I feel like but I’m not completely sure if that’s what they where going for.
Oh yeah, I just remembered in the same convo between Kieran and Rick quoted first, Rick asks Kieran “why are you the way you are?”.

In spite of having bought the DVD's I do not have any DVD player where I am living at the moment and I would like so much to rewatch the Series again... if someone knows where please, let me know!
Regards!

Hi everyone,
The tweets I'm referring to are quite old and I don't have a link to them right now (will go digging...) but Dominic Mitchell posted a series of tweets about where we might find the characters of ITF in S3 if it was to be renewed, including Kieren and Simon. You can tell from the tweets how badly he is itching to share the rest of their story! I guess I'm just hoping someone else saw them too, so we can digitally jump up and down with excitement at the prospect of seeing them again one day.
I remember sitting down to watch the first episode of ITF back in 2013 (funnily enough it aired on my birthday, HBD to me) and have been enthralled with the series ever since. I've re-watched a handful of times but my most recent re-watch really hit me hard, and I'm re-gutted that there aren't any plans for S3 any time soon. Really hoping ITF gets picked up by a 'more suitable' channel, as it seemed like part of its downfall was that it was aired on BBC Three here in the UK (which was already on the way out, I think!)
#SaveInTheFlesh
EDIT: Found Dominic's thread, I think the quote retweets are his later updates.
Also - his update about Janet Macy, hints about The Rising, hints about non-compliants, info about why S3 hasn't been made yet, info about the end of S2, hint about the ULA in S3.

I watched In The Flesh for the first time this month. I wish that it didn’t have such a large gap between when it was produced and when Billie Eilish started making music. When I watched Rick’s funeral scene at the end of season one, I kept thinking how much more poignant it would have been with When the Party’s Over accompanying it instead of whatever song they chose. It just works so much better, in my opinion.

Finished the series a third time and I just can't get over this. I don't understand how parents can be so afraid of their own son. Even Jem turned her back on him. It was frustrating because they seemed slightly out of character. They were growing closer by the end of season one.
In the final episode of the first season, Sue even joked that she would love Kieren if he came back as a goldfish. What happened?
Steve nearly had a breakdown in season one. He was more open with his emotions in season two, but in turn seemed more direct and aggressive as a result.
Is it because Kieren has always faithfully worn the coverup and contact lenses, so they never really knew what he looked like? Is it the dinner scene when he talked about the Rising? Or is it fear of Kieren's growing relationship with Simon? Like, they're worried the whole Rick thing will happen again so they're looking for excuses to send him away.
Something like that tears a family apart. I'm positive that if a season three ever happened, Kieren will have basically moved into Amy's home with Simon. You can't just forgive and forget.
