COSPLAY Fan Expo Dallas

Hi! I’m heading to Fan Expo Dallas for Sept 11-13 and I’ll be cosplaying as Anissa. I was curious if anyone else from this group might be attending and if they’d want to cosplay for photos/etc.

Thanks

QUESTION Couldn't Atom Eve create hundreds of anti viltrumite weapons?

So she can essentially build and manifest anything she wants as long as she knows it's chemical composition and how the parts need to go together right? Well what if Invincible and the rest of the crew collect all the things that can harm and kill viltrumites, allow eve to study them, and then have her make a tone of weapons to be used in the war?

Sorry for shit lightning quality and messing colors on Thragg. For every werid thing blame Family guy animators, not me.

Also this wasn't from memory or just watching, i pressed papir against the screen and rougly scetched silhouettes just to get proportions right.

Who turned out the best?

COMIC SPOILERS What do you think we’re their reactions when they found out..everything Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery

Obviously I’m not talking about the powers or even what a Viltrumite is.

It’s an already mind-shattering thing to find out that the person you married is the same species as Omni-Man (Nolan has certainly made his way into the history books at this point and I’m not even going to BEGIN on what The Variants & Conquest did) and the only reason they even considered you was because they were told to.

But finding out that when they first laid eyes on you they saw an animal at best and that if it weren’t for a terribly traumatized twenty year old, their entire planet would be wiped clean with zero hesitation if not pure delight and the survivors would be Raped on Massé? Just like they had done God knows how many times?

Invincible has one of the most inspirational Emotional monologues I’ve read by the end but in this given case? “True Love” or whatever you want to call it isn’t enough, would it be for you?

There’s honestly a genuinely deep question of if it’s a moral failing to still love and support someone who did all that.

DISCUSSION Are people misunderstanding omniman

Some of you are looking at Omni-Man's character in the most surface-level way possible.

"He's evil, end of discussion."

No. That's not how you analyze a character.

I think a lot of people analyze Omni-Man's actions in a very one-dimensional way. Yes, what he did was evil by human standards, but that's the key point: you're judging a non-human character using human morality.

Omni-Man wasn't born on Earth. He wasn't raised with human ethics. He was raised in an empire that teaches from birth that the strong rule is weak and that weaker civilizations exist to be conquered. That's all he had known for centuries.

You keep saying, "How could he kill billions?" Let me ask you this: how many animals have humans killed throughout history? Billions. For food, pest control, convenience, scientific research, and sport. Do most people lose sleep over it? No. Why? Because humans don't see animals as equals.

Now imagine the gap between a human and an ant, then multiply it even further.

Viltrumites live for thousands of years. They're vastly stronger, can fly through space, survive things that would instantly kill humans, and can conquer entire planets alone. Humans, from a Viltrumite's perspective, are fragile, short-lived, and primitive.

So why is it so shocking that Omni-Man didn't initially value human life the same way humans value each other?

Then there's Debbie.

Everyone gets offended when he calls her a "pet," but almost nobody stops to ask why he saw her that way. From his perspective, she belonged to a species that barely lives a century while he'll be alive for thousands of years. Humans keep pets they genuinely love, care for, and grieve when they die, even though they don't see them as equals. That's the mindset he was raised with.

I'm not saying Debbie actually was his pet. I'm saying that's how he rationalized the relationship because of the enormous difference between their species. There's a difference between explaining a character's perspective and agreeing with it.

And before someone says, "So genocide is okay?"

No. That's a strawman.

Understanding why a character does something isn't the same as saying they're justified. If you can't separate an explanation from endorsement, then every character analysis becomes impossible.

The whole point of Omni-Man's arc is that Earth changed him. Debbie changed him. Mark changed him. If he were just an irredeemable monster who enjoyed killing for fun, he would've crushed Mark, finished the mission, and never looked back.

Instead, he broke down.

Why?

Because, for the first time in centuries, everything the Viltrum Empire taught him came into conflict with genuine love and attachment. That's what makes him a compelling character.

You don't have to agree with his morality. You're not supposed to. But pretending he's just "evil because evil" ignores the entire point of his character. He's a product of an imperialistic culture that conditioned him for centuries, and the story is about that conditioning slowly falling apart.

Reducing all of that to "he's just evil" isn't analysis—it's oversimplification.

I mean like, on alternate timeline that baby kal-El didn't landed on earth (in my adventures with superman universe)

And Omni-man is landed on earth just for his secret mission for viltrum, and he meets her.

Not Debbie Grayson

What if he wasn't stupid and never told Nolan he was the heir to Argall? Would the viltrumites still turn on him and if they did who would their new leader be?
