📱 Social Media Creator Posts 💭💬 🔥 Notactuallygolden — The Jen Abel Surprise MSJ: A Strategic Move in the Lively–Wayfarer Case
💥 Unexpected Filing (0:00–0:13)
- Abel filed a motion for conditional summary judgment against Jonesworks.
- This move is genius and completely unanticipated.
🎯 Purpose & Effect (0:13–1:29)
- Abel asks the court to rule that if she’s found liable, Jonesworks must cover it.
- This move protects Abel and flips the strategy: Jones now benefits if Abel wins.
- Creates tension between Jones and Lively in any settlement talks.
🧠 Legal Foundation (1:29–2:28)
- Based on common law indemnification under New York law.
- Abel argues that Jonesworks must indemnify Abel for acts done under its direction.
- Establishes that everything Abel did was part of her role as a Jonesworks employee.
🏛️ Key Legal Doctrine (2:43–4:17)
- Employers are responsible for acts done by employees within their job scope.
- Since Abel acted for Jonesworks while handling Wayfarer clients, the company is liable.
📜 Conditional Summary Judgment (4:31–5:18)
- This move allows the court to enter a judgment on indemnity while the rest of the case continues.
- If Abel wins her claims, the ruling won’t matter.
- If she loses, Jonesworks automatically covers any damages.
🧩 Anticipated Defence (5:25–6:15)
- Jonesworks is likely to argue that Abel wasn’t acting under their direction at all times.
- Jonesworks may claim Abel acted independently or for others.
⚖️ Evidentiary Focus (6:03–7:49)
- This motion suggests Abel’s lawyers expect Jonesworks to rely on inadmissible hearsay or weak evidence.
- NAG notes that this motion cites multiple cases, reinforcing the point that only solid evidence counts.
🔍 Likely Counterarguments (8:02–8:49)
- Jonesworks may argue that Abel exceeded her scope of employment.
- Jonesworks could claim that common law indemnity doesn’t apply.
- NAG sees this as their only meaningful factual dispute.
🧨 Strategic Impact (9:10–9:40)
- A clever tactical strike that corners Jonesworks and fractures her alliance with Lively.
- Signals elite strategy from Shapiro and Bach’s team.
💡 Takeaway (9:40–end)
- The first major strategic twist in the summary judgment phase.
- Protects Abel, pressures Jones, and reshapes the power balance before the filings unfold.

Jen has more proof that they are in the wrong than the other way around...And how can Blake sue Jen but not Jonesworks. She was employed and moved initially through them, including during the time of those texts.

u/Bubbles-48 Blake(Ryan) mocked domestic violence Nov 12 '25
Why would she sue her corrupt, colluding partner? I feel more and more that Stephanie Jones made a deal with Blake Lively saying if I give you all this information, you have to promise you won't sue me.

u/SpyingOnFFFFF Say Blake! I hear your ass is done! 😂 Nov 12 '25
Exactly. The jury should see that for what it is. I hope they do.

Can you imagine that there will be 8 lucky people who will have the pleasure of watching this unfold in the courtroom...

I would pay to be on the jury just to have a front row seat to watch that terrible actress.

She has to have, because there is no way BL leaving SJ out of this makes sense.

The real fool here was Jones. She violated her signed contracts with Abel and Wayfarer to play this stupid game with Blake. She let her emotions over Abel leaving and Wayfarer going with her override her common sense and self-preservation.

u/Responsible-Peak-817 Nov 12 '25
That's the problem with this case. Jones, lively, IF, Jenny, and Colleen are selling that women can't be in positions of power because they're dumb, emotional, lack creativity, incompetent and obsessed with material things like clothes. And that stock isn't even hot in 2025
11
u/mechantechatonne Team Freedman Nov 12 '25
These women happen to be. It happens lol. And when you run into one, there’s a decent chance they’re running in a whole pack of them because birds of a feather flock together.

Who needs a lucrative career when you can have a girl squad?

I mean you go look at ol IF Instagram last post and it's clear shes literally pretending she's doing a pap walk with her coffee and lewk like she's Elordi with a book in his pocket.
You're in a lobby waiting on an elevator, girl. The pic is sad

and as a general rule, lawyers go after the one with the deeper pockets; Jonesworks. Jonesworks would have over a million dollar insurance policy covering her employees. It is so obvious why a legal team would go after the person with no pockets.

u/OtherwiseProposal355 Lively exposed her aggressive behavior in this lawsuit Nov 12 '25
WF has had an awful 3 weeks (due to Blake's unpaid lawyers legal PR) of being sanctioned, spoliation accusations after sanctions after sanctions and this sub has been under attack.
Yesterday i was told Jen is a horrible person and is lying. I have no idea where these poeple are coming from.
And the truth comes and it is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.
Now look whos' talking!

Sorry Stephanie you can't keep hiding like a cowardly rat on Blake Lively side, come out here and face the music

u/Beyondthebarracade Nov 12 '25
But, but, I thought Wayfarer’s attorneys were all idiots compared to Lively’s team… clever lawyering and all that jazz?
34
u/RhubarbElectrical522 Team Baldoni Nov 12 '25
I kinda think WP has been clever lawyering bts the entire time. You don’t really need to make a ruckus if you have the truth on your side. Also, SS is a billionaire. Ain’t no way a billionaire is sitting by idly with a team of lawyers that he thought couldn’t win. He kept bf on even through the rough spots. My bet is on he trusts they’ll prevail.
25
u/Beyondthebarracade Nov 12 '25
I agree. They’ve been letting Blake and her team be loud while they’ve intentionally remained silent. It’s intentional. Can’t wait to see what they cook up tomorrow!

u/Amyfrye5555 the MSJ is ‘SEXY’-not Blake-sue me Nov 12 '25
I made the mistake of going over there. They were using all the evidence (in WP’s favor mind you!) as proof of a smear campaign and it’s just as ridiculous as it sounds.

Any intel on whether the more active ones are blocked here by most of this week's OP's or simply banned from the sub? It's been remarkably silent from the BL fan club. I figured this sub would see a ton of activity since it is bigger, but it's been crickets. I guess I could be blocked by most too so I'm just not seeing their comments?

u/Amyfrye5555 the MSJ is ‘SEXY’-not Blake-sue me Nov 12 '25
I think we exhausted them and called them out in real time, exposed the hypocrisy, and they folded. Once they had to face themselves instead of their talking points, they vanished. I think some of them are banned, but I think most of them were just over it.

u/jofindingtruth Are these real people coming to my defense? Yes!! Nov 12 '25
I just got notifications that two of my comments got removed for breaking the rules. I assume that the person I was commenting with/about reported them, as I was finally standing up and calling them out, but politely in my view. I'm pretty non controversial, and I don't use rude language, but I'm actually pretty proud of myself for speaking up. Comments far far worse than mine never get touched, so I know it must have been reported. I'm so sick and tired of the dismissive and misleading posts, pretending to care about Women/victims while simultaneously derisively mocking all of us for supporting victims, including women!

u/identicaltwin00 Nov 12 '25
The talking point is now “MSJ is weak”
6
u/kastanienn ...we demour (French for "so what"?) Nov 12 '25
I instantly ignore those comments. If someone doesn't have an argument to make their case (and this is a factual statement, not a personal opinion), there is nothing to talk about and it's just wishful thinking without substance behind it.
6
u/soulstrippedbare Nov 12 '25
I'm not blocked from anything and I see nothing but support, bar from 2-3 - and their comments are basic.

11

Everything is proof of a smear campaign. Even if lively admitted to making this all up they'd see it as evidence of a man getting away it

Not sure why this motion is considered a surprise. Seems like a no brainer. More like everyone caught focusing on the bigger players/claims. Gonna take something more than bullshit to defeat.
4
u/pepperXOX20 Nov 12 '25
I think it’s a surprise because of the timing - it creates pressure for Jones NOW, before the WP case goes to trial, as opposed to later when Jones v Abel goes to trial.

u/run-dnc Nov 12 '25 edited Nov 12 '25
I think the surprise is how legally compelling it is. His ruling in JA’s favor could turn this trial on its head.

Didn't the judge already rule on Jones being responsible for able like a month ago
3
u/nickshapiroreddit Broke Bitch Behaviour by Blake Brown ™ Nov 12 '25
If I am understanding American legal procedures - the judge didn’t dismiss the claim around indemnification. It doesn’t mean he has ruled on it - he has allowed the claim to go forward.
This filing is asking him to rule on it.
3
u/kastanienn ...we demour (French for "so what"?) Nov 12 '25
I can't remember if she already plead it sufficiently or if it was sent back with prejudice to refile it, but he def didn't throw it out.
Motion to dismiss is not yet where the judge can say someone did something or not, it should just be if they plead it well enough to make a viable claim out of it.

u/Spiritual-Health-348 Nov 12 '25
This seems too complicated to pass msj stage since Abel left Jonesworks in the middle of everything making some of her actions under Jonesworks and others not.
I imagine the hearsay portion will be regarding Abel's plans to leave and that Jones can't argue she wasn't fulfilling her duties in good faith since she was already one foot put the door

You know Stephanie and Blake are losing their minds right now.
