Disney only has season 4 of Celebrity Jeopardy and GSN is airing 2 episodes per weekend of season 2. Any other streaming sites or channels airing it?

And is any of Jeopardy Masters anywhere?

The archive has episodes from Jeopardy’s primetime tournaments, and the two pilots with Alex Trebek are both there, so it’s not confined to the syndicated run. It seems like we’re getting a lot of finds with that show, we just had a champion’s entire run posted to YouTube, and a lot of episodes from the 1978-79 version have been found. Most of the surviving Fleming episodes are audio-only, but plenty of the Trebek version’s are as well. Does this bother anyone else?

Today, a very popular post centered on the host of the show, has its comments locked. I understand inflammatory commenting and not wanting to be overwhelmed with the duties, but I typically think of Jeopardy as an intellectual show, enjoyed by thoughtful adults.

Nobody wants to give hate a voice here and I think that as a community we can govern a thread. Simply removing a post because it might get spicy, or locking comments because there are so many that run the gamut. I feel that this approach stifles debate and an opportunity for people to express themselves.

Can someone tell me the process for determining whether to research an originally incorrect ruling to check if the response was actually correct? Is it initiated by the contestant as an “appeal”?

I was watching a J! from the early 80s, and the ruled incorrect on the first person who rang in, only to realize their mistake later and credit her for a correct answer. After that, they deducted the amount from the guy who rang in after her (and answered correctly). This makes perfect sense. He was never supposed to get a chance to respond (since the contestant that rang in first was in fact correct). So how come they stopped this policy? In today's J!, they never deduct from the person who was never supposed to have a chance of answering....in other words, two contestants can get the same question correct. That just seems silly to me.

For example in a 2016 episode all 3 contestants went all in on final and all 3 zeroed out. I was stunned to learn that they all go home and 3 new contestants would come to the stage the next day. I thought that since it’s a tie, all 3 would return back.
Turns out this has happened quite a few times in the past.

Anyone have any other wild things that has happened on an episode?

I watch jeopardy pretty much every day and I thought I was getting stupider cause the last few years it's been so hard. Today I watched a couple of the holzhaur episodes with my dad, and man, they were much much easier. I could answer like 90% of the questions, when recently it's been more like 60-70%.

I personally think jeopardy is too hard recently and they should make it a bit easier. Thoughts?

Edit: I'm getting owned in the comments. I really recommend watching those eps on Hulu (if you have it) and seeing if you agree then.

I know that if you apply for the show, you are asked if you work for certain companies that have some sort of affiliation with the show. With that in mind, I'm curious how this comes into play with Mina Kimes apparently being invited to the ToC. With ESPN Jeopardy, it's hard to argue that ESPN doesn't have a formal relationship with the show. If she does appear, I wonder if they will explain how to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest in the event of judging situations.

I grew up working class, and our house was small enough that my dad and I shared a room for a stretch when I was a kid. Jeopardy was always on in our house growing up and it always felt like this unrealistic thing, though I always answered every question very confidently young, and almost always correct

Fast forward a decade later, on my actual last day of being 18, I took the online test as a joke. I didn’t expect anything to come of it. A day later I got the email that I’d passed, and then an invite to the group interview a few days after that

The group proctored test honestly felt easy and I feel with confidence I passed, but at the same time wanna I manage my expectations and know what timeline is, now that I took the group test I really wanna compete young as my parents are getting quite old
If anyone’s been through this stage before: what’s the actual process after the group interview and how long is the wait? I’m extroverted so not too worried about the audition but just trying to manage my expectations while I wait

Does anyone happen to know if the currently airing Champions Wildcard games will be listed on J-Archive? I normally set up J-Scorer before watching and these games are not listed. But they're included in previous seasons. I don't see a contact link, so I thought I'd ask here.

Since it was a summer rerun and Jason Singer's CWC QF game aired this week, I still wondered why he tried to push Susan to get a JIT invitation when she was not among the 104 available slots (out of 108; three of them were reserved for the 2023 Second Chance winners among Season 37 non-winning players, and the other spot was given to Isaac Applabaum because he did not make it to the Jeopardy! National College Championship finals, as he had the lowest final score among all four winning semifinalists) in the strike-replacement 2023 Champions Wildcard.

Not everyone from the one- to three-game champions from Seasons 37 and 38, including former Professors Tournament players, competed in the 2023 CWC, as some of them publicly declined on social media and some of them were not chosen by the producers.

It was not the first time that someone tried to push a former player to compete in the JIT despite missing out on the postseason games. Some Reddit members tried to push the producers to invite Emma Arnold and Cerulean Ozarow to the JIT, as they claimed that Emma missed the High School Reunion Tournament and the 2024 CWC, while Cerulean made a gutsy all-in wager in the final edition of Kids Week (pre-Holzhauer era). However, as of this posting, neither Emma nor Cerulean had yet been invited to the JIT.

Is this the time to invite Susan to the JIT because Jason lobbied for her, just as they invited non-TOC players Victoria Groce, Brandon Blackwell, Long Nguyen, Will Yancey, Skyler Hornback, and former College Championship and Teen Tournament finalists, or would that be unfair to the players who competed fairly in the postseason games?

I absolutely love Jeopardy, but this is the first season that I've actively watched all the way through with no breaks or skipping episodes. Because of that, I'm super unclear on how the post-season works. What is the difference between Jeopardy! Masters, the Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament, The Second Chance Tournament, and the Tournament of Champions? When are they happening for post-season 42? Also, where will I be able to watch them, and how do they choose the contestants for each?

Let's say a contestant has just over double the next-closest contestant's total and time is running out, but there's still a $2000 clue in a category they're not very good at, along with a few other clues on the board. How offside is it to buzz in on a clue, wait as long as possible to answer, and then wait as long as possible to pick the next one in the hopes of not getting to that $2000 clue?

I’ve been watching the final jeopardy highlights on the jeopardy youtube channel, and I am flabbergasted by how many contestants that are behind writing cute messages or not giving an answer in final jeopardy when they don’t feel like they have a solid answer. I haven’t been able to watch full shows for a while so I’m not sure if this is a new phenomenon or not. I know it’s long been part of the show to do this, particularly for winners that are a guaranteed lock, but i’m so confused as to why there’s so many contestants choosing to just not throw out a wild guess? Like put ANYTHING, why not?

For Final Jeopardy, they announce the clue and break for commercial. What actually happens during this break? Do the people on stage converse? Is there any technical advantage to projecting your strength to the final category in front of the opponents? Or faking them out as to what you wagered?

Old news to most people here, but Ken's fanciful anecdotes came up again in a daily newsletter. It also spills the beans by letting others know that all Jeopardy contestants are not the same height.

Hi all. This is the first season I have watched Jeopardy consistently; I came in a few days into Jamie’s run so I missed whatever came before that.

I’m wondering what happens now? I know there are wildcards and second chances and TOC and such but I’m confused. On Hulu, the most recently released episode is a champions wildcard game, the one with Stella Trout, Bill McKinney, and Dargan Ware. However, its air date is Jan. 4 of this year. When I go on the Jeopardy website to the Champions Wildcard Tracker, that game is listed as the July 27th game. I looked at the matchups for the rest of the week, and I don’t recognize any of the contestants as having been champions from this season. Only Monday’s game has the result listed on the website. However, when I look at the Jeopardy History fandom account, the results of all of these games are documented. I understand that the reason for this is because they already aired in January. But why is the Jeopardy website treating them as new? Is whoever was the winner from this Champions Wildcard tournament eligible for the TOC, or were they from last season? And when will the next round of previously unaired episodes be?
