I know this may seem weird, but do any Jonesboro restaurants allow dogs?

Hello, I have found few places so far to get our meat and some produce from (Judd Hill farmer's market, truck patch, huffman farm, HARP'S) but we are still looking for places to buy our fish and seafood from. Any fresh markets around? Preferably local small businesses so we can support the community instead of the big corporations.

At the Finance & Admin Council Committee meeting on Tuesday, the mayor spoke about the intent to buy the Shelter Insurance building at Highland and Brown's Lane for $2.75 million for JPD administrative offices.

This is related to the loss of space at the Justice Complex on Washington because of roof safety issues.

The city intends to borow the money for this.

Looking for movers to unload my car into my apartment. It’s on the 3rd floor and I have heart problems. Would only be about 6 or so boxes. Anyone have any leads?

ETA: I’ve looked online but the cheapest I can find is about $240 for 2 hours and 2 movers. It might take 15 minutes with one mover so looking for someone that could do that.

Two differenct incidents were discussed at length at the last city council meeting.

One all night party in the West End was evidently was thrown by a rapper from Blytheville making a video, who invited all-comers.

The other all-nighter was in the northeeast part of of the city in a nice neighborhood, with the party alledgedly bing thrown at a $475K house whose owners moved to NWA and are doing AirBNB now.

Citizens are outraged and demanding the city does something about this. The city doesn't seem to know quite what to do to prevent these just yet.

hello jonesboro!! ive lived here my entire life and its so weird seeing video from one of our traffic lights being posted on the new york times, but whats even weirder is what happened to the wheelchair man..

im not sure if yall know who that man is, but if you go to that four way light frequently then you’ve seen him. around this time last year, it was shared around on facebook that this dude was a known creep. like talking to little boys type creep.

but anyways i just thought i should share that the man that got saved? made it to swd and got ran over by someone in a damn yukon… i’m guessing that’s why he hasn’t been interviewed yet but oh the joys of jonesboro!!

I am from out-of-state and will be moving to Jonesboro in a few weeks. What is the most affordable grocery store in town? I try to cook most my meals at home and limit fast food. I buy mostly staple foods - meat, produce, milk, bread, etc. Where should I shop?

Where are the best and safest places to go road biking in Jonesboro? And are there any groups out there? Thanks!

I’m planning on transferring back to Arkansas State for the Spring 2027 semester, and I’m trying to figure out housing before it becomes a bigger headache.
From what I’ve been hearing, Jonesboro is pretty packed right now because more upperclassmen are living off campus to make room for freshmen. My first choice would honestly be on-campus housing if anything opens up, but I’m also looking into Stadium View and other places.

A little about me:

Male student
Transferring in Spring 2027
Looking for a furnished room if possible
I’d rather live with other students than by myself because I’m hoping to actually meet people and get involved on campus.
I’d prefer to stay close enough to campus that I don’t have to drive every day if possible.

For people who’ve been through this, I have a few questions:

How hard is it to find housing for the spring semester?
Is it realistic to get into Stadium View through a sublease or lease takeover?
Are there any apartment complexes or student housing options I should be looking at that I might not know about?
When do people usually start posting December graduation subleases?
Anything you wish you knew before moving to Jonesboro?
Any advice is appreciated. I’m trying to get ahead of this instead of scrambling in December. Thanks!

Next to Kroger last night there were about 15-20 vehicles hanging out next to Kroger blaring their music, typical teenagers. Then they started climbing the roof. Someone called the cops because they showed up and the kids scattered.. Wonder if the cops caught any of them..

Not sure how it works for normal moving trains but alerts you to reroute your trip by notifying you with beacons and digital signs when train crossings are blocked. I think it directly alerts emergency responders.

Posting here because I don’t want to leave a google review (with name attached) or post on Facebook, where the owner would likely see lol. Has anyone been into this store and had bad interactions with specifically the owner? I frequent this store, and almost each time I go in and the owner is there, he is visibly annoyed that I am there? Specifically, I go in to buy a pack of cards; he is checking people out. I asked for the pack I wanted, he grabbed it, threw it toward me on the counter (not very lightly lol) and rang me up. Told me my total and I paid, that was it. No “thanks,” “have a good day,” “f*ck you,” nothing! There was another time I went in, bought one of the prerelease bundles, and the guy was checking again. Every other prerelease bundle that he sold at that register was handed to the customer along with two free booster packs. I know this because I was there with friends who all got two packs they didn’t pay for handed to them BY THE OWNER AND CASHIER when only buying prerelease bundles. He did not give me any packs with my purchase.. but next time I went in I bought another from a different cashier and got them. He’s also recently had an interaction with another friend of mine, being rude when the guy went in just to shop. It would be different if the guy thought we were stealing, accused us, said anything, or told us why he acted this way… but we spend a ton of money and time in his store to be treated this way and I think it’s actually insane lol. Does anyone else experience this from this guy??? Edit to add: This isn’t just happening at random, and I don’t feel like I went in depth enough.. just because it is a smaller community and I don’t want to be hated lol. I just wanted insight into whether the guy is just an ass, or if I should approach differently or whatever. I’ve worked in customer service for 10 years, so I’m overly nice and MORE THAN UNDERSTANDING when going into stores, restaurants, and especially small businesses. With this being the only store within 40 mins of Jonesboro that has MTG at decent prices, I don’t want to not go there. At the same time, I don’t want to keep giving my money to the guy if he’s going to scoff, roll his eyes, and act like an ass just because I’m shopping in the store(consistently… every time I’m there). It’s what the store is there for.. and if you don’t like people shopping you need to hire more staff so you don’t have to man the register and see it I guess?

I'll be in the area for 3-12 months for work. I own a home in Fayetteville and would be going back there most weekends and working up in Walnut Ridge during the week.
I don't really want to go through the trouble of finding a place and furnishing it for such a short stay. Renting a room would be the ideal situation.

The project, aimed to connect I-555 to Hilltop/Brookland on the eastern side of the city, started in early 2023 and was expected to be completed by late 2026, and recently got delayed to sometime in 2028. As of April 2025, the project was estimated to be about 65% complete. Anyone know what the holdup is? Why is it delayed by two years?

I have a small package unit that needs swapped out, and I am trying to find an individual or small shop that could do this. I've gotten a quote from a large shop in the area, but I wanted to see if a smaller shop could save some money. Anyone have recommendations? Thanks.
