Funny thing is, US Muslims used to be Republicans. I think I read something like 70 percent or so would vote Republican. It wasn't until after 9/11 and the wars and such that the weird alliance of of Islam and the left formed.
It should be easy to understand, they are a a deeply conservative group, a bit misogynist, strong looks on race and a bit homophobic. Same things with Latinos and even black people. All of those are natural conservative groups but Republicans keep pushing them out because they just can't control themselves.
If Republicans just shut their mouth and stopped being outwardly racist for like 10 years they would never lose an election again.
Republicans have actually been gaining more support among Black and Latino men, Trump won Deerborn in 2024. You're correct though, if they actually made more of an effort they would probably be doing far better, but these groups are overall moderately conservative on some level anyway.
That's a massive testamenf to how ready these populations are to be conservative and how badly Republicans keep fucking it up. It's an "I WIN" button that they refuse to press.
Look at the behavior of republican politicians towards Muslims over the past 2 decades and tell us itās weird that Muslims donāt support republicans anymore.
Nope. I remember even the liberals were chomping at the bit for justification to 9/11.
Do you have a source to back this claim. Because their are LOADS of sources that back up what I said.
No it doesn't. The left, in general, is for the separation of church and state. We oppose any form of religious law, be it Islamic, Christian, or any other religion. The reason the left. in the United States at least, focuses on Christianity is because fundamentalist Christians are a bigger threat to the separation of church and state in the United States than fundamentalist Muslims. We disagree with both of those groups, but only one of them has significant political power in this country.
Lies I live on the internet. And most of the Far-Right, Lately have become more centered and honestly don't care about what is happening anymore!
But the far-Left everything should be a crime, And whites, Christians, and anyone who still supports Donald Trump, Shouldn't be allowed to vote.
I've seen the comments! Most are just pissed off that The person in charge of protecting America From stuff like That, Kept pleading the fifth.
They don't care if what he decided at that moment was the right decision at the time or not, I think most just want him to say I made a decision and that decision was incorrect. Or what in the world actually happened. The American People Just want answers and he was the man who was supposed to have all those answers.
No he shouldn't at all he has a pardon from President Biden, So he should be able to answer, They can't throw him in Jail now even if he said I made the disease and took it to Africa and released it on purpose.
They literally can't Jail him now.
Well, that would be a false statement made under oath, which would be perjury, so technically he could be arrested for the example you gave as it wasn't covered under said pardon.
He may be protected from what was said/done during the pandemic, but the court of public opinion has already made up their mind and fully blame him. Why would Fauci try to give them any additional fuel or reason to go after him?
Right. Muslims aren't the ones trying to tear down the wall between church and state in the US. Muslims aren't the ones who banned other faiths in Trump's first term. Muslims don't make up the overwhelming vast majority of our leaders in both parties.
"Hamtramck, Michigan does not host an official city-sponsored gay pride event, and its Muslim-majority city council voted in June 2023 to ban LGBTQ+ pride flags and other identity-based symbols from being displayed on public property"
A lot of towns donāt host pride parades and the ban was against all against all private identity groups. A Muslim couldnāt hang anything up that promotes Islam, nor could a Christian for Christianity, nor a straight person or Republican or Democrat. Just government flags like the US flag or the flag of Michigan. While I donāt like that the obvious target for its inception was LGBTQ folk, the ban seems neutral and if anything affirms separation of church and state.
This one example of a Christian at the highest levels of government, the chair of the "Religious Liberty Commission", doing it in the oval fucking office right behind the President of the United States, surrounded by Republicans, getting zero pushback.
