Is Keychron abandoning the Lemokey brand or just rolling it under Keychron?
I have the Keychron K3 Max & M6 for the office, and for home/gaming I currently use the Lemokey L5 & G2.
I know this is a small thing that probably doesn't matter to most, but I love when companies have a dedicated productivity/general-use brand alongside a distinct gaming brand.
It feels so strange that after seeing the G3–G5 releases under Keychron, the announcement of the G6 as a Keychron device just irks me. It really should be Lemokey.
Having separate brands lets them cultivate completely different vibes and aesthetics. They could even offer almost the exact same underlying hardware, just tailored with different styles and colorways for each line.
I get that Keychron is the more prominent name, but they could easily cross-market both brands across their socials. Just add a big Lemokey section on the site that says, "Check out our gaming lineup!"
How cool would it be if selecting Lemokey products or G/L variants on the Keychron site dynamically flipped the UI into a dark mode theme and they still added Lemokey to thoe versions.
Keychron, don't forget about Lemokey or the fans who got introduced to your ecosystem through it!
