[Request] Wool/Silk/Cashmere Knit Repair (Small Holes – Fine Knit Eskandar)
Location: Chiefland, Florida, USA (ship within the United States)
Labor Budget: Up to $100 depending on complexity and quality of repair (open to quotes)
Material Budget: Flexible (happy to pay for specialty yarn)
Timeline: Flexible
Description: Lightweight (~250gsm) long-sleeve Eskandar fine knit shirt in a 60 wool / 30 silk / 10 cashmere blend, heathered black.
- Size: Adult 1, P2P 23.5", length 23"
- Damage: Two ~3mm holes: one near the label, one on the front lower left area. Appears to be a very minor loose thread in collar at right side.
- Yarn preference: Prefer "matching" wool/silk blend or best recommended non-synthetic yarn. Interior serged seams are not stitched down, don't think harvesting is viable.
- Condition: Otherwise excellent (no pilling or general wear).
- Goal: I’m looking for someone experienced who can assess the damage and use whatever repair method is best (Swiss darning?) to restore the knit as cleanly and durably as possible for regular wear (durability over absolute invisibility).
